I've tried getting into Symphony X but I just couldn't do it.
Every time someone brings up "Never Enough", the terrorists win.
Solution .45. Their debut album is one of my favorites of all-time.
Everyone else, except Wolfking is wrong.

What have you heard?Divine Wings of Tragedy/The Odyssey.I can get why someone would dig them but I can't listen to Allen's vocals for that long. Sorry I don't really like prog metal that much though....
Christian is such an underrated singer. I found out that they're writing new material fairly soon
Girls are like square roots; If they\\\'re under 18, do them in your head.
You Americans feed the bears with bacon! That's why they've grown so ferocious!
Another decent prog band that gets no recognition is Sieges Even.
What do Soundscape sound like? I can't watch youtube videos or listen on Myspace.
Yeah, once you graduate high school, you need to listen to Death Metal like an adult.
they're a bit like Fates Warning, but at times they use a lot of heavy, fat-synths.

Other.John Arch-era Fates Warning or Into the Woods... would have to take it. Not a fan of the other bands.

I didn't like John Arch. Very typical speed metal falsetto screaming. For the direction they would take, I think they really needed a singer with a lot more substance and versatility. They found it

Romeo is not a Yngwie clone.
Evergrey!

Romeo is not a Yngwie clone.Saw a lot of talk of them...listened to a couple of albums (Wings/Twilight and V) and actually bought the live album, they honestly did nothing for me. Having grown up during the Shrapnel Years ( MacAlpine/Moore/Friedman/Becker) Romeo brought nothing new to the table that 100's of other guitarists weren't already doing
Quote from: Seventh Son on October 11, 2010, 03:06:19 PMRay era FW just doesn't have the magic or power that John era FW did. And JA definitely fit that kind of Fates Warning to perfection imoSad that no one seems to know Into the Woods... though Any links for "Into the Woods"?

Setra, I think that is the best statement I have read on this forum. Very well said.
I feel like Fates Warning deserves at least a little more love for at least being a little more adventurous and less typical than other progressive metal bands.
