Neal and Jonathan are working on new Jimmy Barnes music with Jackie Barnes! Kevin Shirley producing.

Interesting. Seems that Neal Schon and other members of Journey are doing a lot of side projects lately. Can't wait to hear them all.

FUCK YES!!!  I've been waiting for another Barnes album with these two, awesome.

Jimmy Barnes has also been working with Joe Bonamassa again.

Full album please?

If Barnes could do another Living Loud album that would be awesome too.

Winger Theater Forums........or WTF.  ;D

Nice. What's Overland?

Steve Overland, the lead singer from 80's AOR band FM.  Great voice.

Nice list Kade - of those I have the Vanden Plas already , with the Overland, Vanishing Point and HoL on the way.   I'm hearing rather mixed reviews on all of them bar the Vanden Plas so will be interesting to see how we find them.

Interesting to hear re Barnes and the Journey guys.  From what I've seen his voice is shot in a live setting but if they can pull something off in the studio that's even half as good as Freight Train Heart then I'll be interested,

I'm not a Barnes fan, but I will give anything a chance where Neal Schon is involved, so hopefully it turns out well.
Only King could mis-spell a LETTER.
Yep. I think the only party in the MP/DT situation that hasn't moved on is DTF.

Only listened to Vanishing Point so far.  I don't want to chop and change too much between them, just want to spend a solid couple of days on each.  The Vanishing Point is awesome.

Yes. He sings bogan pub rock, and has a shot screechy voice. Is he even known outside of this country?

u mad bro?

Dunno, I don't think he is known outside here.  But he must be doing something right to have people like Cain, Schon, Bonamassa, Morse, Daisley, Lewis, Child, Setzer, Turner working with him.  ;D

:lol Just passionate about what I love and hate!

Fact is, with Cain and Schon on the project, I can promise I will give it a fair chance, and I truly hope that it turns out great. Having more music to enjoy is never a bad thing!

Of course Barnes is known outside of Australia , they can hear his screeching from there  ;D - he often tours the UK/Europe and as Kade mentioned he's well known by the people who matter in the US.   As early as mid 1980's he got a call from Eddie Van Halen about potentially taking over that gig.

Well actually he is Scottish :)
Your comment is nothing short of ridiculous.
You may not like him, but he is an Aussie icon and quite obviously by the company he keeps, known throughout the world.

It's called an opinion. Calm down. :chill
And I'd say he's more Australian than Scottish, having lived here since a kid, well before he became known. He's more Australian than most other celebrities this desperate country tries to claim as our own.

Thank you clarifying what an opinion is.
Yes I know that JB moved here when he was four years old, hence his thick Aussie accent.

Average but not too bad song, and they shouldn't have gotten JJ Abram's half step-cousin to direct it.

Half hour Mitch Lafon interview with Kip Winger -  Mitch seems a bit clueless as to where they went with their sound on Karma but anyway.........always does a decent interview.

Mega pissed off that I just found out today that the Royal Hunt AU has been cancelled.
I was so looking forward, probably more so to see Vanishing Point, and they cancelled for no good reason.

I'm not on facebook but apparently there's a video explaining things on DC's facebook page.  Apparently the promoter ain't got a great rep.

DC is blaming the promoter(s) (seems there is 4 of them involved) and the promoter (Rockstar)
is pointing the finger at the band.
Whatever went down, 2 days before the tour is leaving it very late.

I haven't heard anything bad about Rockstar Productions in the past.

Super groups always tend to disappoint but check out the line up on this! Augeri, Marcello, Donati, Henryson.

Supposed to be a proggy Journey sound.
