I went with the adage "write about what you know" and I can only beg TACs indulgence in the reading.  But this was BY FAR the easiest round in the roulette in terms of construction.

Politics.  You wrote about politics.

That or guns.

Har har.  Low hanging fruit.  I don't need to dig down into my FUCKING SOUL to write about that.  My penis, on the other hand...

If you didn't send "Gloryhammer" by Gloryhammer you better redo that god damn EP right this minute.

I sent 7 artists this time.  This is my second concept album.  How do those who have been doing this for a while approach them?  Do you come up with a story first and then find songs to fit?  Do you have a list of songs first?

pfft... lightweight.  18 artists; 20 songs.  Even the shortened version is 10 artists; 12 songs.

Well he did ask for it to be around 60 minutes. :P

Quote
Usually I pick two or three songs I wanna use that go together, come up with a general story path, then pick songs that could fit it to flesh out the narrative, and I write up the full concept once I'm done

I went into puppies' concept album round with an idea of what I wanted to do but this is what I did for TAC's and ariich's concept albums

I approach things the same way.  I couldn't re-use the idea I had for Puppers, cuz most of those artists were banned.

For Puppies roulette, I definitely felt overwhelmed.  Just scrolling through my collection making notes of songs that weren't banned took a long time.  I don't think it was the lowest scoring EP and that was good enough for me because I really felt like I didn't know what I was doing.

For this one, I had an idea pretty early on, and absolutely love what I sent musically, and have listened to it a lot over the last few days.  But I don't feel confident in coming up with stories.  I came up with something based on the lyrics, but feel like my write up should be way longer.  Like there are things I need to flesh out way more, but of course I'm not writing a novel and even if I did TAC probably wouldn't have time to read it. :) Then again, I suppose I could have a sequel to it in a future roulette.

or whenever Tim gets around to it.

So K-Lox and Rom sent yesterday, and I woke up this morning and I have Sacul's. It's 3 hours of music. I should be able to get through them today. I have a window to do one this morning, and the other two tonight when we get home. So best case scenario will be First Listen Impressions tonight.

I will also start the Hangmans tonight as well.

Who wants their Hangman first?

I loved my Puppies Concept Album, and I still listen to it.

I have read every single word sent to me. I'm not reading ahead, experiencing my first listen while reading along as I go. It's actually been really awesome.

Also, since we’re just limiting these to a specific EP, why not guess songs and artists instead of just artists?

I plan on doing one or two a day. Once the bands are revealed, I will post the Story/Playlist for each player. That is my plan. I didn't think of doing songs during Hangman. That would take a lot more effort on my part. I do want to keep things moving. Faizoff's band list is one of the smaller ones. A couple guys have a bunch, and I mean a bunch of bands. I can certainly add the songs.
