Morning. Couldn't sleep in. Gave myself a stroke.

I looked at the clock, freaking out that I overslept for work and then realized that is was Sunday. That did not help with me trying to fall back asleep.

I couldn't believe it. Dad had just got back from getting the New tyre a NEW tube and put it back on my bike for me.

I come over after work and go to start it up.

The clutch lever is just hanging off !!!!

So we call around a few places to see if anyone has either a new or a spare and nobody does.

So we order one brand new. Meantime - Dad tries the local car scrapping place just up the road and we find one that just about works from a different bike.

I had a little ride tonight but I don't want to go too far. I can wait til the new lever arrives in the post

Hopefully that's it for a while now. (yn)

Also I checked the tyre pressures and they're both fine but yet I can't get that feeling out of my head that the back tyre is flat since I now know how it feels to be driving around on a soft tyre.

I need to get used to it again.

Yeah I was thinking I should buy a brake lever & a new front tyre just to have them and to save waiting for shipping in the future.

For me, it's a combination of the two.

I'm looking forward to the short week. We get Friday off, but I'm thinking of ducking out of here at noon on Thursday. I currently don't have a manager and the guy I am reporting to is 1200 miles away with no computer access. I think I'm going to do the most 'Murica thing possible and just leave.

Are you talking about people here at DTF?

The actual answer is that there has been a wave of new members, and some of them have strange enough opinions that they come off as annoying.

At the same time, you aren't getting any MORE tolerant.

At the same time, you aren't getting any MORE tolerant.

That does include some of the new wave of DTF members, although it's just as much about people's attitude in general bugging me lately.

And of course I'm not getting any MORE tolerant.

The best I can hope for at this point is to slow my decline enough so that by the time I'm old and decrepit, I'll have better things to do with my time than sit on my porch shaking my fist at the kids with their being different to my generation.

Hey reap. I went for a LONG drive today. Slowly getting more confident going round corners without slowing down dramatically. Feels so good once you overcome your fear of actually leaning into the corner.

But as I said before - my bike will go 70 maximum. And I rarely hit that. I just love cruising
