Red highest?
That's interesting, opinions are opinions and all, but most people I've seen has ranked it lowest. :P
Personally I like it, but it's my least favorite by far.

Just because I haven't done it yet, here's my Color Spectrum ranking.

1. Red
2. Black
3. Indigo
4. Yellow
5. Green
6. Violet
7. Orange
8. White
9. Blue

A few notes:

*Blue is the only EP whose ranking I'm 100% confident of. It's the only one I don't like.
*The reason Black isn't my #1 is because of Take More Than You Need. I like it, but I don't love it.
*Orange was originally going to be much higher than it is. Then I thought about it. Echo and But There's Wolves? are incredible, but the two other songs sandwiched in between are just ok. Because the EP begins and ends so strongly, I almost forgot that the other two songs aren't standouts.
*I think White is so low because I've never listened to it by itself. By the time I finally get to White, I'm slightly exhausted, and I don't pay as much attention to it as I should. I think if I singled it out and listened to it independently, my opinion of it would get better.

Black and Red are my favorites, so you're awesome. :D

Be interesting to see a collab between those two.  I mean, Circa Survive is something I need to be in just the right mood for, and their songs often blend together for me, but it could be cool to see Casey do something outside of TDH.

Casey does tons of non-TDH stuff, although I guess most of it is more production type duties.  But he's contributed to tracks by other artists all over the place (e.g., The River Empires, Forgive Durden, Naive Thieves, etc.)

He's performed w/ Anthony Green too.  They did an acoustic tour together in late '07 (which I vividly remember mostly for the fact that I attempted to go to their local show for what would've been my first TDH concert only to find out that it had already sold out)

It's so consistent; all four songs are standouts. I love the emotion and energy that's conveyed throughout every song.

Red is the only EP that I'd consider worse than great.

Something about it just sticks out to me when I listen to TCS completely. And sticks out in a bad way.

It's the only thing I've ever not loved by this band too.

1. Violet
2. Black
3. Orange
4. Green
5. Red
6. Indigo
7. Yellow
8. White
9. Blue

All are amazing. When TCS came out, TDH weren't my highest played artist on last.fm. Now they're my highest by over 400. Wtf.

Ariich is a freak, or somehow has more hours in the day than everyone else.

Black and Indigo are my favorites. I think they play industrial and electronic music very well, and I'd like to see more of it in the future.

My opinion has not changed much from release:

1. Blue
2. Yellow
3. White
4. Black
5. Green
6. Red
7. Orange
8. Indigo
9. Violet

Violet to me just sounds too much like their normal sound to me. With the others I really feel like they stretched things out.

BTW, is it just me or does anyone else find the only way they can listen to the EPs is from Black to White? For some reason listening to one Color by itself to me feels like coming into the middle of an album, it's weird.

I feel like I agree with all of this.
The only times I've listened to TCS, I listened to the whole thing, and just a few songs would be too weird.
