I felt its length in quite a few places.

You know, I have to agree. It's a great album, but I wouldn't even say it's their best.

There's a little something called Act II: The Meaning Of, and All Things Regarding Ms. Leading in the way.

I have only heard Act II once and have not heard Act I, Act III is the only one apart from TCS that I feel like I know fully.
However, I'm not going to compare TCS to the Act albums, but TCS is just so fantastic that it's hard not to praise it.
Out of 36 songs, there's not a single song I find less then good, and there are so much fantastic music that I cant think of a better way to spend 2 ½ hours.  :hefdaddy

Tbh, I have a really hard time even comparing TCS to the Acts.  They're just two different worlds.  I guess, gun to my head, if I HAD to choose I'd still go with Act II... but it's entirely possible that that's only due to the fact that I've spent 4 years falling in love with it, while I've only known TCS for a week and a half.

I'd still go with Act III as the best album of all time. But TCS still gives it a run for its money.

Well, since we're doing this...

1. Act II
2. Act I (neck-and-neck with II)
3. TCS
4. Act III

II is better than TCS when I'm listening to it, but they're equal at all other times.

I mean, it's good. But it is not nearly as god tier as you guys hold it up to be.

Definitely.

Man... I know TDH are getting bigger, but charging $287 per ticket?!?!

Are we sure the venue didn't mess up and The Deerhunter is supposed to be playing instead?  No way that can be right...

TCS is awesome, second time through and it's still a lot to take in. Only song I am weary about is "No God," but we'll see about that one.

Hmm, that's odd. I think No God is one of the better songs on White.  :-\

Then again, all of the songs on White are great.

To clarify, that song isn't "anti-religion" or "anti-god".  The idea is really more about a focus on the importance of things in everyday life.  Casey isn't a religious guy, but he isn't anti-religious either.  The way he explains it is that he sort of falls somewhere in the middle - something like questioning the strict teachings of organized religion, but still wanting to believe that there is something more to life than what we see.

That's what I thought after I posted it...I went to look at the lyrics because it otherwise is a great song. Thank you for responding with an explanation though!
