I love Act II, so far one of the best things I've discovered in 2010.
Now, as I haven't heard anything else yet by this band, should I buy The Color Spectrum, or the other Acts first?

EDIT: I should probably add that I can't get Act I & III over here without much hassle, but The Color Spectrum is available.

Thanks!
Hey dude slow the fuck down so we can finish together at the same time.

I've ordered the Color Spectrum CD/DVD-box and Act I now (got II and III), will probably get them in 2-3 weeks, seeing as it's import and all.
Really psyched about finally getting them as physical copies, then I just have bootlegs left, if there are any. ;)

Speaking of Act I, I've started listening to it this week (hadn't before, don't ask me why), and I really like it.
It has a bit of an "unpolished"-vibe for me, but that is sorta the charm, and I don't mean that in a negative way at all.
City Escape, 1878 and The Pimp and the Priest stand out so far, amazing songs!

Also ordered the three-cd set.  :metal

Saw the special edition, but I'm not shelling out $85 for something as fragile as that wooden box.
Hire me. I'm talentless but malleable.

You really can't go wrong with any of them.  It's all good.  But here's a quick guide that might help:

If you want something very similar - Act I
If you want something kinda similar but a bit more diverse/experimental (and slightly less proggy) - Act III
If you want something totally and completely different and all kinds of diverse - Color Spectrum

Saw the special edition, but I'm not shelling out $85 for something as fragile as that wooden box.

I don't understand so many people focus on the box itself and everybody ignores the limited edition Mandala print individually hand-pressed by Cameron Thorne.

My money was spent for the latter, not the former.

Because I saw a picture of a wooden box and $85 next to it.  :P

While that print is cool, that also isn't worth the extra 60 dollars imo.

Can anyone upload the daytrotter sessions? I know it says a "free trial", but I'd rather not sign up for something just to download a couple of songs, but I REALLY wanna hear the set.  :lol

It's second only to Grace for Drowning for me. There's just so much diversity and material on there... what's not to love?

Blue.

Blue is awesome.
Probably my 4th or 5th favorite EP.

Red is easily my least favorite, but I still really really like it.
