Wow, I feel so inferior now. xD It's literally just that I haven't had the opportunity to get them yet. I plan to.

hmm. I'm a bit lost now. What is the difference between digipaks and digibooks? I've just assumed they were the same.

Digipaks are these folded things made out of relatively thin cardboard (the limited edition of the new JLB album is a digipak for example):

Digibooks are basically books in the size of a CD, with the booklet being glued (or something like that) in there. Unlike digipaks, they are fairly stable (like a hardcover book):

Well, for one thing, I like being able to take the booklet out. Also, I'm kind of obsessive about my collection, and I want everything to be uniform. So, if everything I bought was in a digipak, (or digibook) it'd be fine, but as it is they don't really fit with everything else.

Of course, the best solution would be to stop being obsessive, but I'm not gonna do that. ;D

Digipack CDs don't fit in my shelves, so they're quite disliked. What's even more annoying is that about 50% of the CDs I've bought the last 2 years have been like this (even a few standard editions). I always want extra tracks if there are any, so I do end up buying the digipacks even though the relationship between me and them is like an old marriage at best. I want to have everything in a systematic order, but it's just chaos atm.

I see what you did there.

I thought I was the only person who didn't like digipacks. Glad to know I'm not.

Anyone else doing, like me, a full DT album discography run till the new album comes out? I've started today while playing games, but I'll probably continue to do only one or two albums per weekend to get closer to the release date. :metal

Absolutely, I do full catalog runs before any release from my favorite bands. Still a bit early, but probably a week before release. I remember when I used to do it all in one sitting/day.

I don't have the willpower to do that. I'd just get sick of Dream Theater and that wouldn't be good.

Does this mean that they'll release 2 groups of 3 fragments on saturday and sunday and we will get the song as a second single on monday? Kinda doubt it honestly, but a man can dream. :)

They will release the other groups this weekend, yes, but I don't think the artwork has anything to do with another song being released :)

Maybe song snippets, just like the bits and pieces of the images we get, who knows.

Actually, it makes a lot of sense.
But I would doubt it will happen that early.

But an artwork followed by snnipet every week is a brilliant idea :D

There will be more information.  Don't worry.  What it is, I really can't tell you.  But I'll be back next week and then you'll find out, yo!

I can say I think this is the funniest thing you have ever posted :rollin
I just don't understand what they were trying to achieve with any part of the song, either individually or as a whole. You know what? It's the Platypus of Dream Theater songs. That bill doesn't go with that tail, or that strange little furry body, or those webbed feet, and oh god why does it have venomous spurs!? And then you find out it lays eggs too. The difference is that the Platypus is somehow functional despite being a crazy mishmash or leftover animal pieces
