Absolutely not. I don't expect it until the end of the month or even later. It may come out earlier, but I wouldn't expect it.

With ADTOE, the single was released more than 2 months in advance. What is going on this time?

Is that the only logical answer?
The Strokes had to delay the release of a single once due to complications with the cover art.

It would be quite logical that RR releases something just before preorder starts, they don't assume that everyone will preorder just because it's DT (otherwise what's the point in promoting?). It doesn't have to be a single, it could be a snippet. I would think that the hype rising after new material surfaces would increase preorders.

I think the whole not touring thing is really the only logical answer to why there isn't a single yet, and its a pretty good reason!  If they don't need to push a single out sooner because of tour shows, it would be better from a marketing perspective to wait until the album release is closer, that way the hype around the single doesn't die down before the record is released.

There is no reason to think there are any problems because there isn't a single yet, its all good!  :metal

RR may want to release something when pre-orders start but its not needed.  If they release the single after pre-orders start it will still generate hype and people will still have the opportunity to pre-order up until the album comes out.

Do you know for a fact that we won't get a single announcement today or do you personally feel it is unlikely?  I know a lot of people have seen a news schedule you see.

That and most of the time, music as a whole (at least in the US) is released on Tuesdays; Usually that includes Albums, Singles, and the sort. If anything, I wouldn't be too surprised if something along the lines of snippets or a single were to come out this upcoming Tuesday( The 6th)
So try and be patient  :tup

Either do a search or skim back through this thread: https://www.dreamtheaterforums.org/boards/index.php?topic=38042.0

Short version:  On the original version, if your monitor was set too bright, you could see a sharp line in the black area on the left where the planet was obviously pasted onto a black field.  That has been smoothed so that it is no longer visible on the later version.

I thought we were talking about Pull Me Under for a minute there. :lol

There is no hooplah about the album cover artwork anymore, as it was corrected. But the issue was that there was a faint line diagonally across the image around the middle, where it wasn't quite faded to black. It wasn't noticeable on all monitors, as it was very dark.

Double Myung'd.

All the morning tweets from RR have been about Rush, the new album from trivium coming out in October, there's something about a band I've never heard of making an announcement....:soon:  and apparently there's a new DT bootleg from '93 we can download. (read off my phone, so I don't have a link, sorry.

No single today.
