4. Copy it into Paint, where you select a square area of the cover. The size of the square can be as big as you want, but it shouldn't be under 100x100.
5. Open GIMP, create a new 500x500 pic.
6. Copy the first cover segment into it and scale it so that it is 100x100. Put it into the top left corner.
7. Repeat for the other 24 covers.
8. Congratulations! You have completed your very own album cover collage!

I don't use Paint. I just edit the covers in GIMP itself by copying the cover, then going to File > Create > From Clipboard. :)

Rattlehead, I present you: Scorpion's guide to making a cover collegeTM
1. Write down the covers you want to use, and in which order they shall appear on the collage.
2. Find your cover for A1 on Google Images. A large version is always better, large ones can still be scaled down without looking like shit.
3. Open it a very basic picture program, I recommend IrfanView (freeware).
4. Select a square section and mark it, then copy this part.
5. Paste it into a file in a picture editing program that is a little more advanced, such as GIMP (freeware). This file should be 500x500, if you want to use twenty-five covers.
6. Scale the square section down to a 100x100 square and move it to the place where A1 is supposed to be.
7. Repeat 2-7 for the rest of the covers.
8. Save the picture.
9. Upload it to a site such as imgur.com (https://imgur.com).
10. Congratulations! You can now add your very own cover collage to DTF!

In this case, I haven't even heard of most of those bands - I didn't check out a lot of your posts at LO back in April/May, since I was holding off on discovering anything new because I was holding my Roulette around that time.What's funny is that you would expect Hardline to be one of the toughest on a prog rock/metal forum. :lol That was an easy addition, though, I figured you or wolfking would get it quickly. I tried once and couldn’t find high enough resolution images of the album covers.

If you really want to do one, I can make one for you, just send me a list of albums. And maybe specific parts of the covers you want.
What I do (and there's surely a better way to do this) is download each individual album artwork, crop it to whatever snippet you want, and then assemble everything using the site Pixlr (https://pixlr.com/suite/).
I would think downloading each album cover though may be more time consuming?

It's a pain in the ass if you ask me, but the way I do it is just open up two paint screens, one for your collage and one for clipping. Goggle the album cover you want, find it at decent size, copy it and paste it into paint. Then simply select a square box and make it the same for each cover. For that one I did 175x175. Copied then that selected square and pasted it into my main paint screen. positioned each one next to each other and then save the whole thing as a single picture, then host then post.

I can't find the post but I'm sure Tomislav95 posted a link to the collage generator that I used for the last few I did. You have to crop the pictures yourself but then it auto generates the collage grom the pictures you upload, fitting them to a uniform size, etc.

I don't do it using Paint Tim. As with everything else on DTF, I do it on my phone :lol I download/screenshot the album covers, crop them using the photo edit, then upload the cropped images to this site.
