Two recent InsideOut Instagram stories feature Jordan and John P. humming two melodies from the new album. I transcribed what I heard:

What's more interesting about this is that Jordan has perfect pitch, so he definitely hummed this in the same key as the actual song
It sounds like, "ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk, ruk." Instead of the more pleasing kick drum sound of, "gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk, gzarruk."

I have heard before that he has perfect pitch, I always wondered if he re-learned the whole I&W album for the last tour. Just pressing the transpose-button would kill a person with perfect pitch :D

Thank you for posting about these videos. They were fun little Q&A sessions. Their first ever concerts they attended were The Who (Tommy album!) and Rush... dang! Also - was J.P. humming the riff that plays during these videos?

it's a great way to showcase the drum sound by introducing the album with that awesome drumming and sound.

He transposed the keyboard, even though he has perfect pitch, because he's played these songs for so long now, that relearning them would've been too much. He talked about that in his interview with Rick Beato (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TToz0QP25YU). I would link to the exact part of the video he says that, but I saw it long ago, and am too lazy to watch the whole thing again right now :P

I'd appreciate if someone posted those videos, because I don't have instagram and I've sworn to myself that I'll never make it

...or I can just hum the melodies myself lol

Sorry, dude. After thinking about it a little more, I decided I won't share the links. If InsideOut posts the interviews as Instagram stories only, there must be reason. (I imagine they'll become public on other social networks soon, though.)

You should know, however, that the types of questions suggest that there will be three additional interviews/stories, one for each of James, John M. and Mike.
______

Now, to find the 4 additional song-titles that Bosk has confirmed have been revealed!

Bosk - maybe those titles are some of the following?

-"Distance Over Time"
-"137"
-"Song 5"
-"Song 8"
-"Song 10"
-"Hidden by Design"
-"Can of Worms"
-"Itchin' to be Bitchin'"

Definitely not: all the notes in the videos' riff (the same as the 'album teaser') have the same duration, whereas the ones in the hummed riff have different lengths.

The Wikipedia page for DoT is listing 4 new song titles. Are those the titles that Bosk revealed? Sorry I’m a little confused here. Just wanna know if they’re legit.

DT referencing one of my favorite speech/picture, cannot get any better. I hope it’s a good song, maybe it will be similar to “The great debate” in terms of structure.

Bosk, out of the 8 titles we have, is one of them the one you were looking forward to?

Really looking forward to Room 137. Haunting and maddening? First Mangini lyric? I'm excited to hear that.

Yes.  The one Mangini wrote lyrics for.

What is interesting to me that I just noticed.

Since BC&SL, the album art has been taking us on a journey. It starts with the door being opened. As we walk through, we're in the sky seeing a trapeze artist and a plane, although the former seems to meet his end as the rope is tearing. We continue along the rope that ascends into space, seeing the darkside of Earth as a star pierces the edge. As we soar through space, we enter a far distant futuristic dystopia, with these machines called NOMACS. Now, those NOMACS have grown arms and either destroyed humanity or are on the brink.

Haha, I guess I have too much time on my hands today.

Mind. Blown.

Well... Room 137.... Printed in a skull. Probably there will be a filosophical analogy with the mind and something regarding the 137 number that we probably don't know yet.

Pale Blue Dot's concept, as JP has described it, reminds me of Architects song 'The Distant Blue' one of their best songs ever, imho.

Distance over time is just the album title. And Wikipedia wasn’t done before dtf - it’s just that the dtf discovery was written in the “controversy” post

Same here, I LOVE that speech and if it was up to me, it should be printed and hung in the wall of EVERY head of state in the world. I'm looking very forward to listening to this!
I use my sig to pimp some bands from Italy! Check out Elvenking (Power / Folk metal), Folkstone (Rock / Medieval metal), Arcana Opera (Gothic/Noir/Heavy metal) and the beautiful voice of Elisa!

December 3rd, 2015 yes. I would speculate (speculate - don't quote me on it please) for the first piece to be released the week of December 4th or 11th.

Isn't music release day Friday? That'd make it December 7th, 14th, etc.

Don't forget, this album is released a month later than TA, so we can't assume that exact release pattern.

I expect we'll get a full tracklist first week of December. I think it will be mid-late December before any single, though. I would imagine a second single perhaps in February.

for albums it definitely is (Feb 22nd will be a Friday, so that's that one), I don't know if there are rules of any kind for singular songs before the albums are released.
