As for California, I hoped for an even higher score,but it's still fine. I also prefer the first half of Ars Moriendi to the second one, and maybe Golem II is another one that start to bore me as it goes by. But both these two and the other songs of the album are such a strong display of creativity, songwriting and sense of melody combined together that I find it not right to talk bad about them.

I once had the idea of creating a thread that literally no-one would be interested in, namely my personal top 30 Mr. Bungle songs. I actually made the list about half a year ago, which wasn't too difficult to do, since they have literally 32 songs on official studio records. California makes up a third of that list, wow! I also did some of the write-ups, because it was fun trying to write stuff about the songs in question, but eventually I chickened out and never posted anything on the boards, because I figured nobody would bother reading it

There are a lot of things to say about each song. If you still have the writeups you can do it, you have at least 1 reader
