Wasn't there a thing where people would drop Jolly Ranchers in bottles of Zima, to make it taste less like rancid goblin semen?

Because if anyone approves of artificially fruit flavored goblin spunk, it's Boy George.

I've been in pretty much all day. After going into Brooklyn for Other Half cans in the morning, I hit a beer bar on the LES for brunch. After a few beers from Allagash as well as offering from Threes (local brewery in Brooklyn) and Maine Beer Co. got home and spent the late afternoon/early evening drinking homebrewed mild and saison. Just cracked a Galaxy single hop IPA from Other Half.

In, split a bottle of very pricey cab from Napa with my wife over a steak dinner (wine was a gift from my old boss when our old site closed), celebrating both my promotion and it being 13 years since my wife and I first met.

About three years ago now, someone gave me a bottle of The Macallan 30 Year Old Sherry Oak Single Malt, as a very special gift. This usually goes for about 3,000 a bottle. I decided it would remain unopened until my son got married, or I had grand kids, or maybe when my grand kids got married. However, a friend of mine just got out of the hospital on Friday. He'd been there for 93 days following complications from surgery to complete his eradication of cancer. In about an hour, me and this bottle are headed to his house for 10 or 20 drams each. I'll keep some for other special occasions too.
