I agree that our perception of it is just as important with the original idea behind the work, and I don't mind people thinking they are very different. I think songs like Untouchable and Thin Air have the same "style", where a song like "The Storm Before the Calm" has a sound that works on WS but wouldn't on WHBWH.
It feels weird for me talking about WS because I don't even dislike it. My comments make it sound like I think it's a shittier copy of WHBWH and that's not my intent. When WHBWH came out, I was blown away, and it became such a huge album for me, that by the time WS came out, it just couldn't possibly live up to my great expectations after WHBWH. My initial reaction was disappointment, but over time the album has grown on me. While I think WHBWH and Judgement are better, WS is in that category of 4-5 really strong albums behind that, and I still really love it. Beautiful album.
