Zook is right.
I'm all for a heavier album, but I'd also like to hear more songs like The Accolade with Russell's softer singing.

Personally, I'd rather see them strive towards a sound heard in Through the Looking Glass and The Divine Wings of Tragedy. With Nuclear Blast (depending howm uch the label will affect the music), the sound will most likely stay heavy (Paradise Lost-heavy)

I walked down a spiral staircase in 19/16 in honor of Tom Sawyer and now I'm in crutches.

on par with the anguish one would have from getting unconsensually bent over and buttloved.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxLJIQB69PgThis is so badass!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt_bwo4ndIQHas anyone else seen this interview? Towards the end I had to take a break from watching it every minute or so because the interviewer was so ridiculous.
Just got off the phone with MJR; he wishes everyone a Happy New Year and reports that the writing of the new cd is progressing well. He says that the riffs are written and all the ideas are there, they're just trying different arrangement ideas right now. We talked about how we're back to the usual routine of trying to find new ways to say the same old 'the band is writing the cd', and he said "It's hard to say. Every day is different, we're just doing our thing & trying to make the tunes cool. You put something together one day and then come back the next day & listen to it; sometimes it's cool, & sometimes it sucks & you have to change things around." They're still hoping to be done with the cd by spring.

I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.
A Fool's Paradise has to be one of my favorite SX songs now...I never gave this album a whole lot of listening before, but man this song especially kicks ass.

I want them to do original proggy stuff instead of generic metal leftovers from PL

You Americans feed the bears with bacon! That's why they've grown so ferocious!
Orion....that's the one with a bunch of power chords and boringly harsh vocals, isn't it?
If you want metal that's going to crush your soul into a fine powder, go with Paradise Lost. If you want the awesome album with another 20 minute epic, go with Divine Wings of Tragedy.
