So... I think I'm not only going to order the deluxe set, but I'm also going to try and get someone to cover for me so I can see Coheed for the first time on September 29th...

I take it I won't be able to get in early or whatever to that show since the box set won't come in for another week or two after that correct?

I may try and do that AC show as well. It would be my first time also, but I haven't made up my mind yet. Kinda wish they would just do a Philly show, but oh well.

That song was awesome. Any predictions as to which song will be the "Three Evils/The Suffering" of the album? (i.e. the catchy pop song)

This song. I can't fucking believe how good this song is.

Also, I was thinking about the concept for this album and it all sort of makes sense after I thought about it. It's not a big deal in terms of enjoyment of the music, but I like thinking about the overall idea of what these albums will do.

Essentially, the albums will be about discovering the energy source of the Keywork which as wikipedia puts it:

"The double album will tell the story of Sirius Amory, the namesake of the concept, as he explores the energy source holding together the Keywork (the 78 worlds in which the Amory Wars is set) and finds that it is in fact a horrible afterlife for departed souls."

But the cooler part, the part that occurred to me while watching this video is that all of the Key Extraction tracks are about different characters who all meet a similar fate by ending up in the keywork (i.e. afterlife). I fucking love this idea. I hope I am right (after watching the video, I'm pretty sure about it).
I felt its length in quite a few places.

And from seeing the first video on the "Transmission" part of the pre-order site, Sirius Amory ends up being a part of the Keywork as well.

EDIT: I'm guessing those other who pre-ordered already downloaded the single off the Transmission right?

Domino has surpased my favorite Coheed song , The Willing Well II. Its way more epic with the video. Makes me wish they'd make a movie.

I downloaded from transmissions and have listened to it many times. It's really fucking good.

Yup, makes me excited for the others stories. If Dominos was this badass, imagine, the other, two.

I don't know anything about the story for all these albums. Is there a summary somewhere?
Cole: "Ow I just got hit in the balls"
Me: "How?"
Cole: "Well you know when you try to scratch your balls, and you scratch too hard?
I'll admit sometimes I want to listen to Dragonforce.

I'm looking to catch their concert with The Dear Hunter in October. What's the essential listening? I'm not a huge fan of his voice, but I'd like to listen to it more and maybe change my mind.

Both IKSOSE and FFTtEoM are masterpieces to me.   I was *really* underwhelmed with NWFT, but YotBR sounded like an improvement.

Picked up Neverender awhile back, but still havn't got around to watching it.  (it's a lot of material to dedicate yourself to when you're as busy as I am...I should try and rip a soundtrack for my car)

I really like that song. Only heard Ten Speed previously so where do I start? Not too bothered about following the story tbh as it all sounds like bollocks to me, but I like what I'm hearing.

Looking at the track listing on Wikipedia. Does the new album really not go over 40 minutes? I know we're getting another one next year but the new one's going to be over as soon as it begins!  :P

I'm cool with it.  I tend to like shorter albums anyways.

GUYS

AUDIO SAMPLES

HOLY FUCK I AM smileING EVERYWHERE

I'm really excited for The Afterman, Goodnight Fair Lady, Holly Wood the Cracked, Vic the Butcher, and Subtraction.  Honestly, the only one I got a lukewarm feeling for was Mother of Men.  Afterman and Subtraction sound like spiritual successors to PFI, and more PFI is a great thing.

So yeah this album should definitely be better than the last two, I think.

That's my favorite Coheed album and the one that actually got me into the band.
