That new live album is mixed so poorly I can't really listen to any of it. The mix makes the songs boring. There's no life at all, which is the opposite of what live albums and concerts do. I like some live versions better and visa versa, but the band on that sound bored, and the absence of the crowd kills the whole experience.

I only watched the DVD once too.  Waste of money really.  There was no way I was getting the soundtrack.  Everything you just said is spot on.

A cover of old Iced Earth material?

I read it on the Brazil Under Ice facebook page, but apparently there was an interview a month ago, and it'll be covers of songs they hear a lot on tour or something.

Now that I'm at my computer:

"This album will have very different things and surprise everyone, as the band intends to record songs they hear enough on tour, including from other musical genres, but, logically, in the style of Iced Earth."

That's a translated quote from Johnny Z who apparently didn't know there was an interview about it a month ago. I can't find the interview.

"I have to have neck surgery. It's the second cervical fusion. I had the first one 14 years ago. And, ironically, we did Wacken, like, three and a half weeks after that, and I was in a neck brace and shit. But this time, there is no chance for me to do it and heal up through the summer because of what it takes. So, I mean, basically, early September, I'm going under the blade again and I'm gonna get this fixed. 'Cause it's rapidly gotten worse. I would say since the recording of 'Plagues Of Babylon' is when it really started to get bad. It's been bothering me for a long time, but now it's getting to the point where it's actually affecting my hands and my shoulders and it's really not good. A little break would be good, because it's not just the performing of Iced Earth, it's the whole thing. It's a 24-7 job, so it's just gonna be good to be able to take a few weeks and not hear the words 'Iced Earth' for awhile or anything and do some stuff with my daughter and have some good quality time. So that alone will recharge the batteries, let alone getting the neck situation fixed up."
I noticed you were in serioues pain here in Sao Paulo, and still did a great show to us! Get well soon, brother!!! Let's make our prayers to Jon improve fast.

He'll come back with faster triplets than ever!

It's all we have.  :(

How did Babylon age for you?  I still think it was a good record, but honestly, I haven't gone back to it after a couple of weeks of spinning it.

It's still good I guess. I haven't listened to it recently besides select tracks put on an IE playlist for work, but I still consider it a good album. I wish that was the first album with Stu and Dystopia didn't exist lol

I'm still bummed that when I bought a used copy again, it didn't have the sticker with it. That's what I get for selling it back. At least it's from a mediocre album. I still have my Glorious Burden sticker.

The Dystopia sticker is the pic of Set with the vines or tentacles or whatever, and The Glorious Burden sticker is of the album cover.

Actually, the sticker only came with the 2 CD version of TGB. Same with the special edition of Dystopia. I have 3 different versions of TGB but alas only one sticker.

If someone buys this for me I'll pay whoever back. Payment plan? Anything? Seriously, There are 2 listings, and one already has a bid, and there are still 6 days. The one I'm posting is a buy it now, and more expensive and could be gone before anyone reads this, but yeah, I really want this useless piece of crap. I have like every other version of this album. It seems this always appears on ebay when I can't fucking afford it!  >:( >:( >:( >:( >:( >:(

I just found out that Richard Kristy from the Howard Stern show used to be the drummer for Iced Earth. That's cool, was very surprised.

There was an interview with Nikki Sixx where Richard came in and met him. It's funny, they talked about how Richard can never get laid, even when he was in IE. Apparently it's a sausage fest, where as a band like Crue writes pop hits so ladies flock to them and their cocks ;p Pretty cool interview.
