Indi, I thought you weren't basing the overtake order on the order participants submitted their overtakes? I'm probably completely wrong though.
it is 100% based on it and i've gotten screwed over a ton because of that
I think it can screw people over no matter what.
Let's say I target wolfking, while Stadler targets me.
1) If I successfully get my overtake of wolfking before Stadler targets me, then I'm out of reach of Stadler, and I land in 1st. If however, he gets his in before me, and (by some fucking miracle) beats me, then I never get the chance to overtake Kade, and I'm in 6th. On top of that, anyone who targeted Stadler after that is now targeting me. Ergo, I was screwed by waiting to provide my overtake target (at least a 6 spot difference because I submitted after Stadler).
In the scenario where I target Kade, while Tim also targets Kade.
2) I can be screwed by going to early - let's say Kade's submission is absolute tripe, and I overtake him first, then Tim could knock me down into 7th place if (by another fucking miracle) his submission is better than mine. If I waited, then I only have a failed attempt at overtaking Tim after he displaces Kade... and I remain in 3rd. I would have benefited in waiting to provide my target.
So... without knowing who and when others are targeting, the results can be both better or worse sending earlier or later.
Fuck, I really am Litho'g it here with the amount of over-thinking.
