Alright, let's knock these honorable mentions over. Excuse the honorable mentions but I have 10 of them. These are simply 10 albums I had to reference in my thread, I felt I couldn't leave any of them out. Let's start and I'll number them and count it down to the top 50;
60. James Labrie - Static Impule
Terrific album from CJS, dabbling in the world of melodeath with simply an outstanding collection of tracks. Matt and Marco return also continuing where EOP left off and it was simply great to see James doing something different and experitmenting which really paid off.
Best tracks: One More Time, Mislead, Euphoric, I Need You, Over the Edge
59. Danger Danger - Revolve
One of the best melodic rock releases in the last 10 years or so. Danger Danger returned with this gem and blew all their past releases out of the water. Great production, good variety, blazing guitars, great vox from Ted, and most of all, just sublime melodies all the way through.
Best tracks: That's What I'm Talking About, Ghost of Love, Hearts on the Highway, Rocket To Your Heart, Killing Love
58. In Flames - The Jester Race
Classic In Flames and some of the best melodic death metal ever produced. Brutal vocals from Anders, terrific musicianship and most of all just sweet guitar melodies and harmonies which work so damn well over Anders harsh vocals. One of the first albums that opened my eyes to growls, and I have never looked back.
Best tracks: Moonshield, Artifacts of the Black Rain, December Flower, Dead Eternity
57. Pain of Salvation - The Perfect Element
Everyone knows how good this gem of an album is. Complex arrangements, lots of variety, killer guitar work and probably DG's best vocal work with some simply stunning vocal areobatics. Just an absolute killer concept album.
Best tracks: Used, In The Flesh, Ashes, Idioglossia, Her Voice, King of Loss, Reconciliation
56. Magnum - On A Storyteller's Night
Perfect 80's AOR. Stunning album with catchy chorus after chours. Magnum are a british band that have been around since the 70's. This is their best work it is a near perfect album. Everyone remotely interested in melodic rock and/or AOR should check this out.
Best tracks: How Far Jerusalem, Title tack, Just Like An Arrow, Before First Light, Two Hearts
