Yeah, McGann was pretty cool. Shame that he was only handed a terribly shitty movie - his 7 minute appearance in The Night of the Doctor is better than that pile of trash.

Also Sylvester McCoy was an awesome doctor with the stories to match. His final two seasons are some of the best writing on the original show, stuff like The Greatest Show in the Galaxy, The Happiness Patrol, The Curse of Fenric or Ghost Light are some of my favourite DW stories, and Ace is a pretty sweet companion.

I get your point about CSI, but even fiction aside, it does act under the pretense of present day reality, and often goes beyond exaggeration to the point of fabricating technologies that not only don't exist, but couldn't exist, and it gives a lot of people unrealistic expectations of real CSI, even people who are getting into the field. At least everyone knows the car robots are made up and stupid! But hey, I watched plenty of CSI myself, and it entertained me, albeit for the wrong reasons, so maybe that makes it a somewhat moot point.
The new Macgyver series is equally silly, and it even has one of the guys from CSI in it. Maybe it's contagious?

I was, still am, a bigger fan of the show Bones, which is based on real life forensic anthropologist Kathy Reichs. It still has some of those rapid evidence processing scenes like CSI does, but many of the cases are based on ones that actually happened.

I wish. Long story short I remember seeing him at the bar I used to hang out years ago, made small talk then and I remember he was with a very good looking woman.

Anyway I made the connection my second day of work and now he won't stop talking to me. I'm fairly social but he is very abrasive. He also wouldn't stop talking about the woman he was with so I asked if they were married and he said no she said that they should be friends, well turns out he is this woman's photographer and is obsessed with her. Everyday he tries to show videos of her eating cookies or doing something stupid. He also hunt me down during lunch to try and talk to me more about how amazing this woman is.

My girlfriend is leaving for 2 weeks. She departs today for work, comes home thursday and leaves friday morning with her friend to boston. Comes home Monday and leaves Tuesday for work again.
