Speaking of bands who surprisingly don't have their own thread, but probably need one (like the Diable Swing Orchestra).
They just opened for Flying Colors for their brief tour of the US, and will be doing the same with Big Elf and Jolly soon as well.
They just posted a new video of sorts for their song "Best of You," which is shown with a lot of slow-motion video shot in NYC.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5Cm2liIFmwI know there are some fans around here. I suppose a question or 2 to ask being, what are your favorite albums and how do you compare them? Favorite tracks, etc.
Here's my (fanboy) assessment of their recordings
Their most recent records, Small Fame (2012) and Animals (2014) you can hear a lot of classic rock influence. But even my power-pop loving girlfriend enjoys some of their music, I think namely due to their pop sensibilities at times. Dan Moxon is a fan of stuff like Elton John, Billy Joel and Hall & Oates at the same time as being a Rush or Deep Purple fan.
I would personally rank their catalog as such:
1. Stories of Brothers, Tales of Lovers (2008)
2. Through the Broken City (2005)
3. Animals (2014)
4. Small Fame (2012)
5. Bend Sinister [EP] (2007)
6. Spring Romance [EP] (2010)
Even though these are ranked, I enjoy pretty much all of these pretty closely.
