anybody own this on vinyl? was considering getting the wax boxset, but it wouldn't be worth the price if they went el cheapo and just faded the song out and in at the ends and starts of the sides.

The only issue with this song is that when you listen to it you only get one scrobble on last.fm, whereas listening to other albums nets them 8-10, so Green Carnation gets less credit compared to other albums.

Hey, check this out, I've done a cover of the guitar solo for kicks.  Pretty difficult to emulate perfectly.  It's not perfect but an attempt nevertheless. 

I still find myself listening to this song on a weekly basis.

Epic bump! I have just listened to Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness, and, wow. What a gorgeous song/album. As my fourth Green Carnation song, I am extremely positive that I will furtherly explore this band!

I was about to open a thread named "Green Carnation v. Light Of Day, Day Of Darkness", then I decided to give a sense to the existence of the search tool.

This is one of my favourite pieces of music by anyone, period. I love the atmosphere, and the buildup over the part from 33:00 to 38:00 to that awesome, awesome guitar solo is truly a thing to behold.
