Longest period of time of James LaBrie being absent on each album he has been a part of.

IMAGES AND WORDS: 3:59 minutes "off stage"

Instrumental section off Metropolis Part 1 - The Miracle and The Sleeper that lasts from 4:16 to 8:15, aka 3:59 minutes.

AWAKE: 9:39 minutes "off stage"

The Innocence Faded outro lasts 1:27, then 6:44 minutes of Erotomania, an instrumental, and 1:08 intro to Voices before he starts singing.

FALLING FROM INFINITY: 7:01 minutes "off stage"

4:16 minutes of Hell´s Kitchen, an instrumental, and 2:45 intro to Lands in the Sand before he starts singing.

METROPOLIS PART II: SCENES FROM A MEMORY: 8:01 minutes "off stage"

The outro to Home lasts 1:52 minutes, then 6:13 minutes of Dance of Eternity, an instrumental, and 0:36 intro into One Last Time before he starts singing.

SIX DEGREES OF INNER TURBULENCE: 8:19 minutes "off stage"

The outro to Disappeared lasts 1:14 minutes, then 6:49 minutes of Overture, an instrumental (section, depends if you consider 6DOIT a full song), and 0:56 intro into About to Crash before he starts singing.

TRAIN OF THOUGHT: 13:26 minutes "off stage"

Vacant´s outro last 0:37, then 11:16 minutes of Stream of Consciousness, an instrumental, and 1:23 intro to In the Name of God before he starts singing.

OCTAVARIUM: 6:43 minutes "off stage"

With the Sacrificed Sons outro lasting 1:12, and the instrumental long intro of the title track lasting 5:31 Octavarium would be 6:43 minutes "off stage" for James.

SYSTEMATIC CHAOS: 5:23 minutes "off stage"

The Ministry of Lost Souls instrumental section lasting from 6:38 to 11:19, aka 5:23 minutes. The intro to In the Presence of Enemies Pt 1 came very close with it lasting 5:13 minutes.

BLACK CLOUDS & SILVER LININGS: 8:20 minutes "off stage"

The outro to The Best of Times last 3:48, and then the 4:22 intro to The Count of Tuscany until James starts singing.

A DRAMATIC TURN OF EVENTS: 5:35 minutes "off stage"

Breaking All Illusions instrumental section from 5:01 to 10:36, lasting 5:35 minutes. (I have to say, this album gives LaBrie a lot of breaks. Outcry, Bridges in the Sky, Lost Not Forgotten, and this song have instrumental sections crossing the 4 minute marks)

SELF TITLED: 6:43 minutes "off stage"

6:01 of Enigma Machine, an instrumental, and then 0:42 intro to The Bigger Picture before he starts singing.

THE ASTONISHING: 6:24 minutes "off stage"

1:10 minutes of the opening NOMACs track, then 4:50 of Dystopian Overture, an instrumental, and 0:24 intro to The Gift of Music before he starts singing.

DISTANCE OVER TIME: 3:11 minutes "off stage"

Instrumental section of "Fall into the Light", lasting from 2:39 to 5:50, 3:11 minutes.

A VIEW FROM THE TOP OF THE WORLD: 4:05 minutes "off stage"

Instrumental section of the title track lasting from 13:11 to 17:16. There´s another instrumental section from that same song from 7:10 to 11:10 that comes very close, lasting 4 minutes exactly.

PARASOMNIA: 7:36 minutes "off stage"

5:23 of Into the Arms of Morpheus, an instrumental, and then 2:13 intro to Night Terror before he starts singing.

Cool, and that must have taken some work, but shouldn't this have been posted in one of the threads you've already created about LaBrie? (Sorry, I am a bit of a thread policeman  :P )

How do you know James isn't working on his choreography for In the Arms of Morpheus this very moment?

I´ll be looking forward to him finally bringing those moves that he´s been practicing everytime he steps off stage for an instrumental.

Cool Chris

I love some types of stats - yet hate others. I'll file this in the types of stats I love category.
Maybe the grass is greener on the other side because you're not over there fucking it up.

The full Octavarium intro, Jordan is by himself on keyboards and continuum until at 3:48, the rest of the instrumentalists join in. At 5:31 minutes, James finally comes in.

For one like this for example, do we not include another 1:12 or so for when he stops singing in SS?  Or am I looking at this wrong?

Kade, I was about to say, there are some moments in Vacant during outro without James as well.

Good idea for a thread though, I had some fun reading this.

Yeah, you would be right, I forgot about some outros before the instrumentals or long isntrumental intros for a couple of albums.

With the Sacrificed Sons outro lasting 1:12, and the instrumental long intro of the title track lasting 5:31 Octavarium would be 6:43 minutes "off stage" for James.

Same for Train of Thought, Vacant´s outro last 0:37, which, added to Stream of Consciusness lasting 11:16, and In the Name of God having a 1:23 instrumental intro, Train of Thought would have 13:26 minutes "off stage" for James. Changing it now.
