Forgot about that! It was quite literally the first time I'd ever been asked to spell 'Paul' in my entire life.

It was so nice meeting you! Meetup was a blast and congrats again on your 30th show. So cool that James wore your hat too  :metal

I sent you a note on that; the look you gave me was priceless ("The fuck did this idiot just ask me?").  I kept hearing an "r" in there, like Porl Thompson formerly of The Cure (ironically, he was born "Paul" as well).   I was actually trying to be respectful and just came off as a doofus.  ;) :)

A couple of pix from the DC preshow.  Wish I could have been at this one, since there are some familiar faces from the prior DC and Baltimore shows I co-hosted. A two hour drive home afterwards the night before taking the train up to NYC would have been too much for this ol' fart.

Well done, Nicholas! :tup

Wish I could have made it there but I was late getting into town. Looks like a good turnout though!

Super late to the party but sharing a few thoguhts from the Toronto show:

Fun Fact: Chris Jericho (wreslter) was at the show. I got to lock eyes with him when the concert was over like saying "hey there... I see ya" and he smilled - if I were to guess he went backstage as he's friends with MP.

Love this concert - yes 8V had a bit of a hiccup but it was amazing to see my fav song played. I was surprised they started with Metropolis and it was such a good call. My wife doesn't listen to DT much but she loves Home - she was so surprised when they played it.

I will be back to see them for sure.

Only negative thing: I was on the floor seats and the 2 dudes in front of us super tall spent the whole show talking leaning in for 10s every 20s... next time I'm either super close to the stage or seating on the stand.

One thing I gotta say abt this tour. Both in CT and NYC Portnoy was really damn tight! For me this was one of the best tours I saw him on with DT. He played a lot of his parts that he always used to dumb down. Double bass patterns, little off beat cymbal work that he used to leave out live. I personally feel like he's become a more consistent drummer while away from the band. Even little things he added to barstool warrior. That opening sounds empty to me without his rendition of the cymbal work.

Just my perception of it. I'm sure not everyone will agree lol
