No, I'm lucky enough to have been here three times before. First time was in 2006 for the Score show.

I'm all set for NYC on Saturday. Hoping to get there around noon. Haven't thought much about what to do when I get there but when I do I'm sure it will involve more food before the meet up.

The ticket prices drove me away from the Ranger's game ($201 just to get in the building?!).

Instead, I got a ticket for the Islanders game against Columbus on Monday.  Actually, I got two.  I was at the Islanders site and looking at a seat about 10 rows from the ice in one of the corners for about $130.  I decided to take a look at Stubhub as well and found a pair about 5 rows higher, on the aisle, for only $5 more.  So I get a buffer seat.

Unfortunately, I forgot that the Islanders had moved back to Nassau County, so I'll have to hop the LIRR instead of the subway.  Oh well.

I got tix for that same islanders game for 7 dollars on tick pick :-)

Got up this morning to the news that LHR is closed all day. Wondering if I've been super lucky in flying out yesterday. Or unlucky in that I'm potentially caught up in the issue with my flight back due to land on Monday morning. Eeek.

Oh, well. Off to The Met this morning.

I noticed this yesterday, as well.  RCMH has the doors open at 7, so looks like it's pushed back a half hour from everywhere else on the tour (that I've seen)

Got into NYC this morning, and did the 9/11 memorial/museum like I mentioned. It was pretty harrowing/incredible, would recommend it when anyone feels it's right. Had a big impact on me.

Also went to see the Billy Cobham's Time Machine gig tonight at the Blue Note. Overall pretty awesome. I ended up sat at a table with a guy who knew some of the band members, and I got to meet Will Lee and Randy Brecker for a brief moment which was wild. Also, Jeff Coffin was there watching too which was cool.

All around a great NYC day, excited for the big show tomorrow though!
