I love the Simpsons, and ACOS is one of my all-time favourite songs, but that part just rubs me completely the wrong way.

And that's about it - all the rest is pretty great! Carry on.  :lol

I hate that one too :rollin

Aaahh, thanks, it's been bugging me for a while that I remembered that rendition of ACOS had something funny on it, I thought it just was the LTE piano thing Rudess always does in ACOS.

There's also the clowns in Under A Glass Moon from Score.

I didn't pay attention to that one, I was thinking of the one after the lyrics I mentioned. Yeah, overall a truly forgettable rendition of The Killing Hand, and if I ever want to listen to it with LaBrie, Live At The Marquee exists :hefdaddy

Quote from: BeatriceNB on February 06, 2025, 02:50:02 PMI think it sucks. The recording is somehow worse than the original, it sounds really dry, and LaBrie isn't at his best during that era. And I don't understand the need for the extended solo in The Killing Hand (in the "the sea is calling me" section), to me it ruins one of my favourite sections in the entire DT discography.
At least, I'm glad others get to enjoy it, and through it give the music of WDADU a chance.

As for the Metropolis rendition, meh.

Agreed.

It takes all kinds, I guess...
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

How about JM's "du-du-du-DU-du-DU-charge!" part or JR's old west bit?
