If DT16 had guest vocals on just one song, who would you want to sing?

- Lemmy
- Hef
- Bob Dylan
- Anthony Keidis
- Thom Yorke (if you know anything about my taste in music, this is the most telling of all the entries)
- Steve Howe
- Jennifer Lopez
- Elon Musk
Listen here you little......Oh I see, you're taking the piss  :lol

Comment to bring this thread back to the top, since it was actually created this year, not in 2010.
Quote from: BlobVanDam on December 11, 2014, 08:19:46 PMHef is right on all things. Except for when I disagree with him. In which case he's probably still right.

To me he's a silky smooth bowl of vanilla ice cream!

Russell Allen and Floor Jansen. Jorn Lande would be good too. For someone more pop/rock and more recognisable, I'd be interested to see what Adam Lambert could do. A pretty diverse voice, and his work with Queen is great.

As for Lines in the Sand - I love it, and happy to keep it exactly how it is  :metal

Yes. Doug Pinnick on Lines in the Sand.

That's if you don't count Theresa Thomason and Jay Beckenstein.

Also Lizzy Hale on Our New World (but she doesn't appear on the album.)

In addition to Theresa Thomason and Jay Beckenstein, other musicians have also played on DT albums.

I can't remember the names off the top of my head: the cellist on Vacant; the violinist on The Best of Times (and on some covers on the special edition); and the person who plays bagpipes on The X Aspect.

Wish they would do more of it. An easy way to add something new to the pot.

It's always an interesting addition. But I think if there's a need to add a violin, a cello or a tuba to a DT song, Mr. Rudess will do it with his apps (as he's already been doing).

Arjen Lucassen! 20 years after The Human Equation I want to hear Arjen and James have another duet!

I actually had a whole post written up about Ray Alder(who I would still dig a guest vocal) but the answer I would really like is Anneke van Giersbergen. Her vocals with the Devin Townsend Project and her solo stuff is great and would sound amazing with Dream Theater. That's my vote  :metal
