That's a weird closing song if you ask me, but whatever. Great setlist overall!

Strange how it featured nothing from SDOIT

So, no BC&SL, no Six Degrees and no WDADU from the MP era, plus no love for DT12, Astonoshing and View.

That's a bit of a shame.

This just makes it even more likely that we get the entire 12SS on the next tour IMO.

EDIT: the lack of WRaDU is the most surprising thing to me considering Charlie's passing late last year.

The next question is if they roll with this setlist or start swapping songs in and out over the next several shows.

Deadeye21

Guess we'll find out in a couple of days. There's gotta be one more though. Surely.

As long as they don't even think of swapping SoC or Octavarium, I'm golden

I don't know, it was a great setlist closer when I saw them at Dreamsonic, granted they had a ton of musicians, but it had a great vibe as a closer. I love this setlist, I'm sure it's going to shuffle around during the tour but this is an extremely solid set of songs.

This is actually a good question. I forgot about this possibility.

Also, Spirit will be a tremendous closer. I don't mind it at all.

That'll do it. Yuck, such a waste of an encore after that second set!

TheCountOfNYC

Not surprising, they kind of had to.

I wouldn't be surprised if they swap in some SDOIT and BCSl and other MM songs in the rotation.

Yup. It is the 40th anniversary tour, after all.

I don't hate this setlist at all, I hope this is what we get on the US tour.

Hopefully the crowd handles the chorus  :lol

Maybe they thought fans would be too emotional to drive home after those final three songs in the second set so they decided to make the encore less epic to give fans a chance to calm down.

Nice, even though this song gets super overplayed, it's great to hear live.

It's not a bad encore, but when the final three songs of the main set are Vacant going into Stream of Consciousness followed by f**king Octavarium, the three encore songs seem a little less cool. I also think Pull Me Under's abrupt ending makes it an awkward show ender.

Literally when the whole set before those last three songs are all big bangers and then we get Spirit and Pull it's like "yeah, the show ended already. This is for the casuals.l

What songs would make it not awkward? Encores tend to be well-known songs

Swap PMU and TSCO. I personally think TSCO is a stronger show closer. I would have no issue with PMU being in every setlist until they retire. It's their most famous song and it's a great song.  I just don't personally like it as the last song of the night. It would be

It'so surprising not to have WDADU song.

Dave_Manchester

So for the people who were there, what was the attendance like? How was the crowd energy?

winter_rosean

More than anything I would like to check from fellow forum colleagues who went to concert in what form the band members are, especially Labrie? In their personal opinion of course.

This was honestly my biggest surprise, I figured they'd start the encore with Afterlife or something

I was about two sections back, first row of the bowl. Seeing only the die hards in front of me I assume, it was great. But behind me, standing was seemingly rare unless you were on the floor. It was not as insane as I thought it might be, but it was not by any means a dud crowd. The into of Metropolis got me teared up, everyone lost it.
