These are not necessarily my favorite songs from each album, but rather, what I'd want them to play in a one song per album set (note that I'm not concerning myself with things like James's abilities or setlist length):

WDADU - Light Fuse and Get Away (it's the only WDADU song other than TOWHTSTS that I haven't seen live)
I&S - Learning to Live (favorite)
Awake - Scarred (favorite)
FII - Anna Lee (favorite that I haven't yet seen live)
SFAM - anything other than TSCO
SDOIT - full title suite
TOT - Stream of Consciousness
8VM - 8VM
SC - Constant Motion
BC&SL - Wither (possibly my #1 DT song that I haven't seen played live)
ADTOE - Breaking All Illusions
DT12 - Illumination Theory
TA - A Life Left Behind
DOT - S2N or Viper King
View - Transcending Time

I'm not sure my favorite song off each album would constitute my "dream setlist".  For example, TKH is probably my favorite song of WDaDU, but I'd rather hear something that hasn't been played as often, like Status Seeker or A Fortune in Lies.

My favorites are not the same as why I would want them to play.  For example, my favorite DT song of all time is Six Degrees, but I don't need or want it to be played.  Likewise, favorites that I may have seen played a lot or played recently probably wouldn't make the "songs I want played / dream set list" list.  That said, I think there is pretty good overlap between the two lists.

Favorites:
-The Killing Hand
-Metropolis
-Scarred
-Lines in the Sand
-Home
-Six Degrees
-In the Name of God
-Octavarium
-In the Presence of Enemies
-A Nightmare To Remember
-Bridges in the Sky (used to be Outcry, but Bridges has aged slightly better for me; they are still very close)
-Along for the Ride (same scenario with Behind the Veil)
-Ravenskill
-At Wit's End
-Sleeping Giant

Songs I would like to see played in a dream set list (different choices from the first list are in red):
-The Killing Hand
-Metropolis
-Scarred
-Take Away My Pain (I have never seen it, and JP knows it is on my wish list)
-Home
-The Glass Prison or Misunderstood  (I've seen both, but it's been a long time; honestly, either one is fine)
-In the Name of God
-Octavarium
-Forsaken (I have always loved this song, and I think it's a solid choice live)
-A Rite of Passage (pretty far down on my "favorites" list--#4 on the album--but I've seen my #1-#3, and I think it would have a lot of energy and be fun live)
-Outcry (despite Bridges edging it out as a favorite, I have seen Bridges on 2 tours, and was surprised at how underwhelming it was the most recent time despite being a highlight of the ADTOE tour)
-Along for the Ride
-Moment of Betrayal (I don't think Ravenskill would make sense in isolation and out of context of the album)
-Out of Reach (love this song, and I think the way DT handles ballads live, it would be fantastic and have great atmosphere)
-Awaken the Master (saw it on the last tour, but have only recently really begun to appreciate it; I'd also be OK with Transcending Time, even though it is my least favorite on the album, just because it hasn't been played and seems like the vibe would translate well to a live setting)

TAC

If it makes you feel better, Bosk, I don't want it to be played either. :lol

Misunderstood

It wouldn't make for a good show, as it's way too long, and The Killing Hand doesn't work well as an opener, I don't think.

Every time I think about doing something like this, with SO many songs I love on every album, it turns into over analyzing paralysis and I give up.
