If OPETH wrote DREAM THEATER's "On the Backs of Angels"

This is pretty awesome.  It's a shortened version (1:33) with no vocals at all, but really cool.

All my natural instincts are begging me to stop
But somehow I carry on, heading for the top
A physical absurdity, a tremendous mental game
Helping me understand exactly who I am

Hilarious. When that screaming lead guitar came in around 1:00 I busted up laughing. Spot on.

:lol  I kinda rolled my eyes at the concept.  But then I watched it.  That was awesome!

?

Brilliant :tup That sounds like it could've been the beginning of one of those deleted songs that Mikael wrote before making Heritage. The beginning of OTBOA sounds like In My Time of Need anyway, so it was a good choice for this kind of version :P

I'm not even an Opeth fan and I want to hear the whole song.

Dream Theater themselves posted it on Facebook! they must have liked it

Honestly, this is legit better than 60% of the material from both DT and Opeth over the last decade.

Ben_Jamin

Extend all those sections by a minute or 2 and you have a full Opeth song. Haha.

Neat idea, due to OTBOA intro sounding like In My Time of Need.
