From DT's social media:

Quote from: Dream TheaterCreate your very own playlist on Spotify featuring 25-30 DT tracks and title it "We Are: Dream Theater". It is important that the profile and playlist are public. We will track down your playlists (using the correct title) - the playlist that collects the most followers over the week will be mirrored on our official channel! We also welcome you to make public playlists on your Apple Music, and/or Deezer accounts.

Well, I made a playlist where I tried to put the most obscure ones, important epics and few my personal favourites from every album (except WDADU :\ ). What do you think? Something missing/too much something? I tried to think the flow, that the whole playlist flows well from track to track.

Go check it out and follow it if you like it: https://open.spotify.com/user/1132917446/playlist/3uR0HcrHUZuV2EB9yrE51b?si=1kAKbM3MQaeGoO2DmvJb6w

The Walrus

I 'saved' it. Am I following it now? I've been a Spotify subscriber for 6 years and yet I don't understand basic stuff like that.  :lol

Yours is a very good playlist, I like it a lot. I'm probably not going to make one because my picks will be unpopular, but I like yours.

Here is mine.  Let me know if you can see it.  I have never made one on Spotify.  Hope I did it right.  This would take all day listen to in one sitting.

TAC

I was thinking of doing a live one, but Luna Park is not on there.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related
Quote from: Stadler on February 08, 2025, 12:49:43 PMI wouldn't argue this.

jammindude

I made it up on the fly and tried to be all inclusive.   (I would have included TOWHTSTS, but nothing from WDADU was available.  :censored )

Here's my playlist. 4 hours and 38 minutes. ;)

It follows a Light - Dark - Light theme, which I also follow in my 1-CD DT sampler. :)

It took me a while, but here's mine: https://open.spotify.com/user/gzarruk/playlist/6FzYKOaNTAaY4q9PIKytV1?si=8VhnVFWYSHKKnvrJQ1ciyw

I wanted to make sure that every album was represented equally and that all tracks would flow nicely (or the best way possible) with each other, so I put a lot of time and effort into it, hope you guys find it interesting or at least worth checking out. I'm also following all the other Spotify playlists posted here :tup

Btw, here's another playlist I did a while ago, but never got to share it here (and might make a thread for it on the GMD forum), it's my "best of" Mike Mangini, outside the DT catalog, including JLB, Vai, Into the Great Divide and a few deep cuts as well, hope you like it: https://open.spotify.com/user/gzarruk/playlist/6LSNvSlEs0YHTWVndUN0K3?si=_rnD-wuYR9unkm1Ya1ZXHA

Lax

Here is mine, I tried to be pleasant and proggy, plus trying to include every album, but wow 30 songs is ultra limitating !

Good luck everybody

I love how after Metropolis Pt 1 you segue into Through My Words / Fatal Tragedy. :D
