Hi all,

Been lurking this page for ages now and finally found the right moment to start posting again.
As some of you may know I'm a friend of Jordan Rudess and together with some friends I'm running the official Jordan Rudess fanclub.
Last saturday I took my 7 year old son to the DT gig in Düsseldorf and this day was so amazing I just have to share it with you guys, to show you how cool, down-to-earth and nice the members of DT and their crew are.

Before soundcheck we were greeted by JR and he took us for a little tour on the stage.
My son is playing drums now for about 1,5 year and he's a little rocker totally into Mike Mangini. So to see this monstrous kit was a huge thing for him. Eric, MM's tech, was the coolest and allowed my son to have a seat behind the kit (and to play the drum kit, psshhtt...don't tell MM). When we came at JP's world Maddie (JP's tech) gave him a guitar pick and JP showed him some of his guitars, one of them the Special Edition Nomac themed guitar.

We watched the soundcheck from the stage and after soundcheck the moment was there for my son to finally meet his hero. MM was so nice to give him a set of drumsticks and they made some pics together.

We watched the show from FOH and it was awesome. Here's a pic of my son and MM. He will never ever forget this experience, so will I.  :metal

Great story. Your son will remember that one forever!

Unbelievable.  Kudos to the DT guys for making that happen for you and your family.

That's awesome for you and your son! Also, I love how all the people here who have met/are friends with any of the DT guys will always say the same thing: the're always nice, down to earth and happy to meet their fans. That's priceless.

That's way awesome!!

What did they play for soundcheck?  Did you jump up and do some backing vocals?
