Found this over the weekend at my parents' house.
Bought this in 1999 for about 20 dollars.

Awesome!  Mine's on DVD, but I still have Five Years in a LIVETime on VHS.

Sweet!

I have Images & Words: Live in Tokyo on VHS.

I ended up buying this on VHS off ebay, like, ten years ago, just so I could watch it.

The day it arrived they announced that it was coming out on DVD.

Prog Snob

That's awesome! I never bought that one on VHS, but I do have Live in Tokyo and Five Years on VHS.

goo-goo

I still have it on VHS somewhere at home.

I have this one on dvd. But I have a lot of VHS from 1982-83-84 from Rush, Genesis, Styx, Jethro Tull. All of them in perfect condition. I'm taking good care of my stuff.

Yeah, it triggered lots of memories from the late 90s!
I started listening to DT around 1994 (a friend of my brother had just returned from the US and brought a lot of new music). My brother got Awake and Falling into Infinity for Christmas and in 99, when I was 14, I saved some money and ended up buying this VHS (though my first DT purchase was the cassette of ACoS).

I have Live In Tokyo on VHS too  :)

That sounds amazing. Could you share some pictures of them?

No problem but I have no idea how to upload a pic here.

Orbert

The pics have to be hosted elsewhere (imgur, etc.).  Then copy the URL for the picture and paste it into a post between "img" tags (open with brackets, close with brackets and slash).

Wow, that's cool!

I found my old LSFNY 3cd set (the original version of the burning towers, that I bought right before 9/11) in my parent's garage awhile ago. I hopped on over to ebay to see what it's worth today, and was surprised. (I also have an original cd of WDADU -- apparently that's not worth anywhere near as much, lol.)

I was sooo excited as a teenager when I found a VHS copy of Live in Tokyo at my local Blockbuster. I must have rented it dozens of times. I was really upset when I went there one time to rent it, only to discover that someone else had taken it out. Friday night ruined!

Take a look at my avatar.  Couldn't put the image here but was able to post them as my avatar. From left to right, Rush exit stage left (1982), Genesis 3 sides live (1982), Styx caught in the act (1984), Rush grace under pressure tour (1984) and Jethro Tull slipstream (1985).  The oldest VHS tapes I have.

That is just gorgeous!  :o

Thank you sir! And one good thing about the Exit stage left vhs is that it was film in march 1981 in Montreal and I was at that show. A perfect musical performance. I don't know if they will come back for one more album and maybe a tour but they were certainly still doing great music with their last album.

don_waka

That's great, I only got to see Rush once (the only time they ever came to Chile). Glad you've been able to keep all that material!  :metal
