IIRC it was to be released in April.

I just checked, and it did say April. For such a short turnaround, even for a reskin of an existing game, it wouldn't surprise me if it's a little later than originally announced.

Hard to tell though what the time schedule was. I mean, the album itself has been worked on for a long time.

The Deluxe Box with the 3D Nomac hasn't even shipped yet. I think it is scheduled to ship in May

Wait, there's an Astonishing game coming out? Board game? Mobile app?

Mobile app, by a company called "Turbo Tape Games". To the best of our knowledge, it's a reskinning of this game:

That would actually be ridiculously fun. I've been floating the idea of making a board game around for a while, but I haven't been able to decide on a subject matter. This could be a nice challenge.

I'm thinking it'd have to be a game like Pandemic where all players are actually playing cooperatively with one another to beat the board. All the players would have to work together to bring down the Nomacs. There'd probably have to be some deviation from the story as to not make the game the exact same thing every time.

I'm not familiar with Pandemic but it would definitely be interesting if you deviated from the story and added your own facts and situations to it.

Well, Risk and A&A deviate from the story...

I'm still expecting an RPG with fixed dialogue for every character every time you speak with them.

Daryus: YOU DARE DEFY THE PRINCE?!
Ahrys: HOW DARE YOU STEP INSIDE MY HOME.
Xander: YOU MURDEREEAARR

I agree, it seems like  board game would make more sense and be more interesting.

MirrorMask

Therion did a board game, 011. I imagine a board game of The Astonishing would be a lot of fun!

Faythe: You know, Ahrys, your brother is quite the diva.
Ahrys: Yes, you bet your life.

Oh, did you think they meant April of THIS year?

I thought they meant SOON. :soon:

I'm usually the last person to have faith in a licensed mobile game. But if this delay implies that they're working on a more polished product, then perhaps they're actually putting effort into this one, and if that's the case, maybe it'll turn out half decent.
