This might be a struggle, but let's see how it goes.

1. Dystopian Overture 4:50
2. Outcry 11:24
3. The Enemy Inside 6:17
4. Enigma Machine 6:01
5. Three Days 3:44
6. Ravenskill 6:01
7. Bridges in the Sky 11:01
8. A New Beginning 7:40
9. Heaven's Cove 4:19
10. Far From Heaven 3:56
11. Breaking All Illusions 12:25

Totaling 77:38 if I did my math correctly.

Super sad I couldn't fit Illumination Theory, but I'll survive.

I made a 2 CD collection of songs from SC to DT12.  A single disc would be impossible for me, TDEN, Outcry and IT are over half of a CD in itself!

And my abridged TA CD is about an hour, so those + IT is a disc.

Destiny Of Chaos

1. Dystopian Overture
2. Moment of Betrayal
3. Lost Not Forgotten
4. Bridges in the Sky
5. A Better Life
6. Lord Nafaryus
7. Three Days
8. The X Aspect
9. A New Beginning
10. Illumination Theoy

1 hour 19 minutes.

Boom.

I just went and chose everything I'd consider putting on a single disc, and it just happened to be 77 minutes. Perfect.

From ADTOE-
Lost Not Forgotten
This is the Life
Bridges in the Sky

From DT12-
False Awakening Suite
The Enemy Inside
Surrender to Reason

From TA-
Dystopian Overture
TGOM
Lord Nafaryus
Act of Faythe
Three Days
A New Beginning
Our New World

It's hard to judge it as an album, since it's not designed to be one cohesive album, and TA is already designed to be it's own unified album. It would rank well above the last 3 albums individually, probably all of the RR era. Beyond that, it's hard to say, but not top 4 or 5 at least.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Lost Not Forgotten!

holy shit, ADTOE has the worst drum sound ever

That's probably because Mangini had to play drum parts that were already written before he was even in the band, and most likely wasn't allowed to alter or improvise any of it, and that was most likely because the scheduled recording time did not allow for it.

MM himself said that was wrong. Parts were written as a basic idea of what JP wanted, but MM had full control.

The drum sound has nothing to do with that anyway. It was just a badly mixed album all around, not just for drums. MM was a bit more restricted than the more recent albums, but he was still free to interpret the drum demos how he wanted, and a pro drummer like that shouldn't have a problem with that scenario regardless.

I've been trying to understand why I've always thought that the Luna Park versions of the Dramatic songs sounded better than the studio versions. Maybe this is why.

BlobVanDam

The drums sound much better on Luna Park than on ADTOE, so it makes a big difference to the energy of the songs. JLB also lets loose a little more on the live versions.

Yeah. The orchestration of Bridges in the Sky, OTBOA and Breaking All Illusions are very Mangini.
