So as I listened to this song for the 5th or so time reading the lyrics as they rolled by... it hit me.

What if Amy Lee did a duet with JLB on this singing the parts of Faythe?  Before you hate... do the same thing and envision her voice paired with James in the Gabriel/Faythe/Xander section...

I was about to ask this. I mean, okay, most symphonic Rock Goddesses are in Europe, but still, practicality be damned. I'd love to hear Sharon Den Adel do it with James... The song I mean.

I love Amy Lee as she's one of my favorite female singers, BUT I think you'd have a better chance of someone else doing this duet. Amy Lee doesn't fall in with all of the female metal singers. I'd love to hear Anneke or Sharon do this duet.

I think this song is a little too groovy/upbeat to make me "feel" if they make it a duet. Would be better if they sang together on The Road to Revolution or something if that song was longer, and only had Gabriel and Faythe.

As much as I would have loved for The Astonishing to have guest singers playing the parts, I really can't hear anyone but James singing Our New World specifically. Of course that could change if I actually heard a different singer singing for Faythe.

Amy is one of my favourite female voices, actually. Too bad the music she is featured on is not exactly my favourite music. But I really wouldn't mind hearing her over some of the other great rock/metal queens mentioned here.

Well I guess beacuse IMHO she has the most versatile range and has an incredibly strong voice.  And is one of my favorite female "metal" singers.  And she sings well in a Male/Female Duet role (Case in point "Broken" with Seether.   Also Cristina Scabbia isn't too bad either now that I think about it.   Would be another good choice on vocal qualities.
