One's "Favorite" Dream Theater Song/Album

Fave album Scenes.   Fave song right now is Outcry.    A change of seasons is probably their best ever.

Favorite song: I have no bloody idea. Never thought about that. It might be About to Crash. It might not be About to Crash. I guess sometimes I classify songs as "my favorite heavy song" "my favorite proggy song" "my favorite melodic song".

I would never slag on someone if Forsaken was their "favorite" Dream Theater fan.   But I would most likely conclude that they were not a fan of progressive rock.  And I don't mean that in a bad way either.   Dream Theater has a fairly large fanbase, and not everyone who likes Dream Theater likes progressive rock.   There's nothing wrong with that.

Dream Theater can be a "gateway drug" however.   I might take the opportunity to see if I couldn't turn them on to some better stuff.

For me DT was a closed gate to prog. With a sign on it that says BEWARE OF THE PROG. IT WILL BITE.

Really nice to see love for ADTOE.  I feel like I am a minority in that I have been a fan since near the beginning (1992) and rank ADTOE as my #3, and rank it ahead of both I&W and Awake.
