ACOS (just the song I pass on the rest)
I listen to ADTOE front to back but I skip every song except for Breaking All Illusions.

lol touché. I can't make my list without mentioning ACOS even though it's just one song. I listen to that song at least 3 times a week, sometimes back to back. I can't say the same for any DT album.

If we're talking absoloutely love every song then it's only Images & Words, I literally love every single second of every song.  Learning To Live by the way is Dream Theater's greatest ever song, how can anyone say it's the weak track on the album!

There's plenty of other DT albums where I wouldn't skip a track like Awake and SFAM and DT12 but there's definitely songs on those albums that I think are decent but don't love whereas I&W is perfection.

This is very easily my favorite string of three consecutive DT albums, nothing else even comes close.

For me it's definitely SFAM and ToT. I would say ToT is probably my favorite because I feel it's their heaviest album overall, and I don't need to skip songs on it.

Glad I haven't seen Falling into Infinity on here yet. IMO, that shouldn't be in anyone's top 10.

FII is fucking amazing. It only has one dud stopping me from listing it here, and I'd rank it the 3rd best DT album overall.

I guess i listen to random songs, and full albums about half the time each. I often open mu music player with all the DT albums, and just play the song that "speaks" to me first  :P

Really? Hmm, I've listened to it front to back 4 or 5 times and just can't get into it at all. Hollow Years and Peruvian are great tunes, but aside from those I think it's about as boring as DT gets. This is part of what makes DT so great, as most albums are diverse enough to be loved or hated by the same fan base depending on perspective and taste.  I'll give FII another listen today. Maybe it's just me  :)

Without any editing or fast forwarding whatsoever I think DT12 would have to be my first choice. Only thing that'd make it difficult is the mix, though the HD one is better. I generally don't listen to an album straight through though.

I&W
and half the time, Awake.

Even though I like Awake slightly better over all (the highs are higher), I sometimes skip CIAW.

ADTOE comes close sometimes, but I'm still somewhat lukewarm on LNF, and I'm not a huge fan of Outcry (despite a lot of people on here seeming to love it).

There's very few albums by any band were I like the whole album, but Pink Floyd with DSOTM and The Wall (and sometimes Animals), Genesis with Duke, and Radiohead with In Rainbows do it for me.

Nearmyth

Awake and Six Degrees. Not a single dud on either of those.

For I&W, Pull Me Under does nothing for me and is a pain to get through. For SFAM, I'm always tempted to skip Through Her Eyes or TSCO.

LCArenas

Images, Awake and Six Degrees. FII is nice, too, but I always skip both New Millennium and You Not Me.

JediKnight1969

Podaar

Metropolis Pt. 2: Scenes from a Memory
Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence

That's it.

Yeah, FII is not near the top of the list for me either. There are a lot of fairly average songs by DT standards. Take Away My Pain, Hollow Years, Burning My Soul, Just Let Me Breathe, You Not Me and Anna Lee are all songs that wouldn't come close to any best of DT collection that I would put together. That being said I quite enjoy New Millenium, love Peruvian Skies and Lines In The Sand and, to finish off, Trial Of Tears is right up there with my all time favourite DT songs. Those 4 songs put together are probably longer than most bands full albums so I would never complain that it's a bad record but there's a lot of shorter tracks on there that just don't do anything for me. It's probably the album with the most songs I'm not mad about but luckily they are all relatively short.

WDADU, SDOIT, TOT, and 8VM. Lately I've been slacking off on listening to their 90's albums... Gotta make some time for that :)

nattmorker

I absolutely love almost every DT album from start to finish, the exceptions are Awake (I usually skip The Mirror or Innocence faded), WDADU (TOWHTSTS is kind of meh to me) and FII (I like NM, but i don't love it).

N4Player

Black Clouds & Silver Linings
Train of Thought

My faves start to finish.
