Litterally is "We have no plans at the moment, but there will be something in the future". We can't understand if he was talking about something he wishes for or something they have already talked about together... This is why I hate translated interviews, at least they could have posted both the original and the translated version...

Yeah he could have said " There May be something in the future " or he could have said " Maybe in the future " like 'ya never know....

So If A Dramatic Turn Of Events was their attempt at a new " Images And Words "...

and if DT12 was their attempt at a new Awake - what with it being dark and heavy ( false AWAKEning suite ??? :neverusethis: )

Maybe DT13 will be the double album they always intended Falling Into Infinity to be ! :P

Maybe, expect DT12 isn't anything like Awake.

Actually they are more similar than you think. I can't figure out how to find a post, but here's what the post I wanted to find said.

The second song of both Awake and DT12 is a riff-driven metal track. The third one is a melodic rock song. The fourth is an instrumental. The fifth is the second longest song on their respectve albums. The third to last song have lyrics written by John Myung. They both end with a piano driven ''song''. And they're both generally considered heavier than the album that preceded them.  So they're like totally similar...

Please don't take any of this too seriously

Kotowboy

I don't...

But if DT13 is the new FII then DT14 will be fab

mike099

Maybe the sound on DT13 will be like FII.  No matter what most feel about the songs on FII, most folks like the sound.

Kotowboy

Indeed. Along with Octavarium - FII is my favourite produced album.

Exactly. FII is my least favorite DT album but it is by far the best produced.

Why is it that all we get these days seems to be scraps based on translations?
I won't read too much into the LTE question unless/until we hear anything more from it, since it could have just been a diplomatic response to a direct question for all we know.

AboutToCrash

I'm cautiously optimistic that we'll get news today or over the weekend. They changed the site to static on the 15th (Thursday) and put the "Path will soon divide" stuff on 23rd (Friday after). By that logic we should get some news this weekend, more than likely today or Saturday. FINGERS CROSSED, I am hyped for this record and can't wait to hear what it's about, no doubt a concept... Are they big star wars fans? Seems slightly inspired by that so far

Lucien

"empire" and "rebels" aren't two terms that came frrom star wars, you know  :lol

I have a much greater feeling this album will have lyrics much closer to the fantasy genre than scifi

AboutToCrash

***** Either way we should find out soon enough

Jinx

So the past 2 Fridays we have had good developments. They were posted to Facebook one at 20:02 DST and the next week at 20:03 DST. So I think we can expect something cool around 8pm tonight (UK time)

Kotowboy

QuoteAnd, observes Chycki, "It's doing its job 110 percent. The band members say that this is the best that LeBrie has ever been captured—and they're all audio fanatics

:lol Tell the last two albums !

Another_Won

I'm going to continue "holding my breath" for another 30 minutes.  After that . . . I suspect we won't get any updates until next Friday.

SuperTaco

If LTE ever got back together again, that would be hugely exciting. Their albums are terrific, and so unique :)

So judging by that Richard Chycki article, they still hadn't done the guitar/keyboard overdubs yet, but that usually doesn't take very long anyway. Also, it's Friday... Hopefully we will get some more news.

I think the interview is probably a bit older than the article date, because from the last update it appears they're up to the mixing stage now.

Fiery Winds

Quote"The producer liked the vocal sound so much he made a point of asking how I did it—a high compliment."

While Chycki could be referring to JP, I find it odd that he wouldn't name him directly if JP was the producer...

That's exactly what I thought reading the article...

Kotowboy

Inb4 the album is so compressed that the amazingly clear and upfront vocal sound is completely ruined.

It might be a reason as to how " They needed to do something different to stay grounded ".

Maybe JP didn't want to be responsible for another album that didn't sound that good to the fans ? Plus letting someone else produce would be like admitting your shortcomings.

lucasembarbosa

Well... Chycki co-produced vocals on the last few albums of the band. I don't think he would take the whole producer role now.

emtee

A more apt statement on their site should be;

The path will soon divide choose blindly.

DOUBEL ALBUM CONF1RM3D

RoeDent

Because it hasn't been mentioned much, certainly compared to the last pre-album "speculation period":

Will there be an instrumental on DT13?

Evermind

I hope so, and I hope it will be a great deal more atmospheric.
Quote from: Train of Naught on May 28, 2020, 10:57:25 PMThis first band is Soen very cool swingy jazz fusion kinda stuff.

This would be great. Not atmospheric in the way the middle section of IT was, but if they do something like Eve or Hell's Kitchen I would be super happy.

Friday Evening
Still no news from their end
To think that they would leave us now
With just a Manley Force endorsement!
