Today is 4/4 . To celebrate, what are your favorite DT songs or song sections that are in 4/4 common time?

My favorite is 6:00 from Awake.

Zyzzyva17

Lines in the Sand. Excluding the parts in 6/4.

TheCountOfNYC

Well the only song in my top 10 that's almost exclusively in 4/4 is Constant Motion. My favorite sections of songs in 4/4 are the moog solo in Octavarium, Another World from A Change of Seasons, the harmonized solo in Take the Time, the main theme in Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence's Overture, the ragtime solo in The Dance of Eternity (yes that song has sections in 4/4), the helpless hysteria sections in Panic Attack, and the solo section in Trial of Tears.

Quite a lot actually, a good two minutes of it in the middle of it.

Raise the Drum

I think the first 1 minute of Overture 1928 is a really good choice for a 4/4 section in DT's catalogue, considering all the amazing parts they have in this measure.

Pull Me Under is all in 4/4 I'm pretty sure

Same with Space Dye Vest (but you could count most ballads)

I'm seconding Lines In The Sand

YtseJamittaja

The keyboard solo in Take the Time.
Lines in the Sand
All the heavy 4/4 riffs from Train of Thought

Pull Me Under:  Two sequential snippets of 7/8 and 6/4 sneak in just before the chorus.

Lines in the Sand:  One of the major riffs used throughout the song is in 6/4. ("Tragic reflex", etc.)

As far as looking at just the 4/4 riffs, the solo section of LIE is one of my faves because it sounds like any meter but 4/4.

Zyzzyva mentioned the Lines In The Sand thing, but yeah I forgot about that part in Pull Me Under

Also that section of Lie is SICK, not sure how I could forget that  :metal
