Pick One!

WDADU - FII - TOT - BC&SL
IAW - SFAM - 8VM - ADTOE
Awake - SDOIT - SC - DT12

The Letter M

Pretty self-explanatory. I already did the group of 6 (every other album), and Shine (kind of) did the group of 3 (every fourth album), so I figured I'd go for the other divisor of 12 and make you all choose from 3 groups of 4 albums.

Almost immediately I decided to pick Option 2, but there's some great stuff on Option 3 as well, so I may have to sit and think on this one.

-Marc.

Rodni Demental

Option #1 sorta seems like it has all the underdogs. But it's got great stuff on every choice.. Kinda too hard to pick this one.

Tom Bombadil

Awake and SDOIT are good enough to make up for DT12 and SC, both of which I don't care for, so I voted option 3

Crow

Well option #2 has 3 of my top 4 albums and one that's usually around 5/6 as well so it's not a hard choice
turns out signatures are fundamentally broken now so here's my passive-aggressive signature about signatures instead

BlobVanDam

Easily IAW - SFAM - 8VM - ADTOE.

Unfortunately SDOIT got stuck with all weaker albums, so it had no chance.

TheGreatPretender

SFAM and I&W are my #1 and 2 favorite albums, along with a couple of mid tier albums... Vs. SC and DT12, my #3 and #4 favorite albums with a couple more mid tier albums. No contest.

Yeah, the IAW option is basically my top 4 albums

?

Option 2, although I'm not the biggest fan of Octavarium.

robwebster

Too close!

My favourites are IAW, SDoIT, Octavarium and DT, which are... two from column B, two from column C. The runners up would probably be Systematic Chaos and A Dramatic Turn of Events, which still doesn't narrow it down at all. And SfaM and Awake complete both sets as similarly solid and good Dream Theater albums.

So, er, I don't have an answer! "Not A," I suppose? I legitimately like both albums, but BCSL and WDADU sit in 11th and 12th respectively, and while Train of Thought is quite strong, Falling into Infinity is good-not-great.

krands85

Option 2 is miles ahead of the others, since it contains my #1, #4, #5 and #3 albums
Whoaaaahh, ohhh, ohhhhh. Whoaaaahh, ohhhhh, ohhhhhh. Waaah, ahhh, haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaowwwwww

hefdaddy42

Easily NOT option 1.

That's the best I can do ATM.

aprilethereal

Second option. Contains my two favourites.

son_ov_hades

The second option, Scenes From A Memory and Images And Words are 1 and 2 for me.

Yep, that was exactly my thought as well.

Awake - SDOIT - SC - DT12

:iagree:

I think I'll make a playlist for my listening pleasure today.

Nearmyth

Option 2 seems to be most consistent... But option 3 has my 1st and 2nd favorite albums. Very tough.

The Letter M

Just bumping to see what newer members here might vote and say, and I'm curious if anyone else will pick anything but option 2.

-Marc.

chaossystem

Chronologically:

1) Images and Words
2) Falling Into Infinity
3) Scenes from a Memory

Not sure what this answer/reply is... None of these albums are in any group together as stated in the poll and its options.

TheCountOfNYC

Considering the second option has my Top 4 albums, I went with that.

Kotowboy

Option 2 has 4 of my favourites so no brainer here. . .

Correct, Awake is a really weak album... :yeahright  :justjen

SuperTaco

1st option has my favorite album, but the 2nd option has my favorite song.. the other albums make the 2nd option my choice.

Yeah, I wanted to pick the 3rd option but unfortunately DT12 ruined it.  :\

Had to settle for option 2.  :yeahright

adamack

Nice to have an easy choice for once!

IAW - SFAM - 8VM - ADTOE

Contains my top 3 DT albums. (SFaM, ADToE, 8VM in that order)

This is interesting btw. It's got me thinking. Based on this pattern, DT14 will be amazing for my taste.
