You'd better give me a definite "No" if you don't want anything.

And I hadn't thought about messing with the avatar.  I was just going to replace some wording in his profile.

But I could.

"No"

I'm not feeling that brave today, hef. :lol

Blob, have you ever watched Re-Animator before?

Can you change my avatar to Tim Allen?

King Postwhore

Can't you do that yourself? :lol

It's one of the one that was available on here when I was creating my profile. But the selection is somewhat limited.

Shadow Ninja 2.0

I honestly have no idea what you're talking about. I don't think there even are any preset avatars. You always upload your own.

Or maybe I'm mistaken about this?

edit: Huh, there are. Who knew.

You should see a row of buttons near the top of the page (depending on what skin you are using):

Home Help Search Profile My Messages Calendar whatever

Select Profile - >then Forum Profile

Upload a pic from your computer there.

It looks like "if it's not in my personal files, then I can't do it."

Shadow Ninja 2.0

Well, yeah. Here's how it works:

Find picture on internet
Save to computer
Upload as avatar

Tim Allen's pretty cool though.

I don't think I could have gotten better results if I had just said "Let's do a COMEDY thread!"

Zook

This wasn't a comedy thread?

Since we're just having fun.  Call it "Drive In"   :neverusethis:

If you all don't mind, I would like (at least temporarily!) to get back on-topic.

One of the things I've noticed is that there seems to be an over-riding "theme" running throughout the album regarding light and darkness, hidden light, needing to light up the darkness (or have it "illuminated"), or needing to be "shown the light," among others.

Now I suppose if you look close enough you could find (or imagine) a central theme running through ALL of their albums, or ANY album by ANY band or artist.

Even so, my idea this time is to take lyrics from one of the songs to give the album it's title, in much the same way that Pink Floyd did with "Dark Side" (Brain Damage) or Rainbow did with "Rising" (Stargazer).

There are several possibilities, sometimes more than one in a song-

The looking glass:
"Watching Through the Looking Glass"
"Bathing in the Spotlight"

The Bigger Picture:
"See the Painting Come Alive"
"The Candle Lights This Crooked Path"
"You look but Cannot See"

Behind the Veil:
"Look Behind the Veil"
"The Stranger Hiding in Plain Sight"
This one isn't a part of the theme, but I still think it would be a good title:
"Bent Not Broken"

Surrender to Reason:
"Slowly Shedding Light"

Along for the Ride:
"Vision's Unclear: Blind to the Truth"
"Embracing the Light"
This one I think fits well with the picture on the cover:
"Clarity on the Horizon"

There's A LOT of them in Illumination Theory:
"Examine Your Own Reflection"
"We Seek to Understand"
"A Shadow Fleeting"
"Surrender to the Light"
"Face the Darkest Days"
"Struggle Through the Dark"

ThatOneGuy2112

I'd be down if DT had gone that route. That's what they did with I&W and I think the subtly of the lyric in WFS works wonderfully. It's clearly noticeable but not shoe-horned or anything. Had they done the same thing with DT12, I would have taken it has quite clever and nice.

hefdaddy42

They did that on their first 3 albums.
