A couple of videos from South America:

I Got You
Pull Me Under

James is doing great as expected, but unfortunately the backing band absolutely butchers IGY... :-\ Very disappointing considering that it's the only live version of an Impermanent Resonance song by anyone at the moment. They also played a pretty sloppy version of Queensryche's Jet City Woman with Geoff Tate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bvcXvAZ2Nbk

Also, according to the website the European dates have been pushed back to spring.

Thanks for posting these! PMU wasn't bad, but I Got You was a bit of a trainwreck from the start. Of course JLB sounded great on both. The band was clearly more familiar with the classic DT song than the new JLB track, so not really the live debut it deserved.

JayOctavarium

Damn. I was so hoping to see Zakk and James play together.

Oh well..

Those videos were actually from the second night, so I wonder how horrible the first performance was... :P But yeah, you can tell the band hadn't rehearsed a lot together.

Wow, that was tough to watch. The band pretty much was a train wreck on I Got You and were only slightly better for PMU.  James does sound fantastic here though which is always good to see.

Man, I wish James would tour IR with the band that recorded the album, seeing those tunes live, with those musicians, would be fantastic.

cramx3

Agreed, I would love to see the SI and IR JLB band come do a tour.  Those two albums are amazing.

James: ok, guys, now lets play In The Name of God

Rest of the Metal All Stars Band:

Make sure to post a video when the stars turn up to help JLB

DarkLord_Lalinc

JLB sounded amazing, unlike the rest of the band.

Makes me appreciate DT even more  :D

Not sure if James getting the audience clap at the beginning of PMU was to get the crowd going or just to hold the band together.  :lol  I do have to say, I think the faster tempo picked up the energy of the song quite a bit.  I like PMU, but I think it has a tendency to sound flat live.  As sloppy as this was, it at least had good energy.

TheAtliator

Funny how different your reaction is when you watch PMU first and IGY second  :lol

I finished PMU and was thinking, wow the band learned that note for note not too bad! And then watched IGY and thought there were some pretty bad mistakes in that one.

cramx3

Is that Steve Harris doing the live video editing of the shots?  That quick jolting between cameras is head ache inducing.

YtseJamittaja

Well, PMU wasn't so bad but really, IGY was like a high school band's rehearsals with James on vocals. It was terrible, that drummer is like 70 years old and playing Gothenburg metal, bad choice...

Anyone else got PMU music video vibe from that video?

MoraWintersoul

Holy shit you weren't kidding when you said butchered.

Seriously, wtf.

ErHaO

James sounds great. I am impressed how much he has improved (on top of the previous tour).

And hoooly shit are there some trainwreck moments in here for the band  :rollin

Maybe whoever it was thought he was operating the strobe light.

Oh good gravy, help us.  That is pretty tough to watch.  Keep it at one angle for at least 10 seconds.  It would not hurt.  Honest.

Hearing-wise. Yeah, there's a pacing issue there with Pull Me Under.

Ticket sales on the nose?

Due to last minute engagements of a few of the artists in the line up, the Metal All Stars will be rescheduling all European dates from November 28th – December 23rd to Spring 2015. New tour dates in these cities will be announced shortly. Due to this unfortunate delay, we will be adding additional headline artists to make the new line up even more METAL for 2015! Current ticket holders and purchasers of VIP Meet & Greet packages will have their tickets honored for the new dates. More official information will follow and be available online at www.metalallstars.com and at your local ticketing source.

Vinnie did really bad work too, the intro is just a chaos. He really isn't the best choice for drummer to that song. So weak and slow version and Vinnie really can't play Peter's drum parts at all. When you look at James's face at the end of the song, it tells everything...

SuperTaco

While watching PMU, I noticed that the tempo dropped noticeably during the keyboard lead after the first bridge. For whatever reason, it seems like the band couldn't keep up that speed the whole way through. Also, the guitarists messed up some simple chords in the first chorus. I guess they didn't have much time to rehearse this stuff together before going on stage :P They did a great job, considering.

I'm scared to watch the other one.

A friend showed me this earlier today: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3GWc0UXzqb0#t=129

James is sounding pretty good, but honestly, the band are not.
