I've noticed that SS & AFTR have a VERY similiar chorus structure.

Sacrificed Sons:                                                      Along For The Ride:

Who would wish this on our people                       I can't stop the world from turning around
And proclaim that his will be done?                        Or the pull of the moon on the tide
Scriptures say he had misled them                         But I don't believe that we're in this alone
All praise their sacrificed sons                                 I Believe we're along for the ride
All praise their sacrificed sons                                 I Believe we're along for the ride

So, what's the similarity there?  5 lines, the last 2 of which are repeated?

Um... Yes?

I've noticed a similarity in the choruses of Pull Me Under and Rite Of Passage. If you pay attention, you'll notice both have the song title in the lyrics.

You don't hear it? I admit, it took me a while to notice.

Shade

Dream Theater's discography = 100+ songs, most of which have a chorus, chances are somewhere along the line, two of these are gonna have a very similar structure

Scriptures say he had misled them

The line is actually "Scriptures they heed have misled them". :tup

Because two lines have never been repeated at the end of any poem or chorus.

It's in the human nature to find patterns where there are none.

SeRoX

There is only one similarity that both are DT's songs.

In all seriousness, if you still ask which one you prefer I'd go with Sacrificed Sons.

Coincidence (and not even that similar).
