I agree KB lol.

Good performance overall! Was interesting to hear a DT12 song live being as I haven't really checked out YouTube vids from this tour.

Is it just me or does JR seem to be a little bored / disinterested, at least, when compared to the past? Maybe it's just me. I'm gonna check out more videos from this tour. Thanks for the links mate.

Haha James' shower hair is pretty funny! The song clip was very enjoyable too  :tup

" There are some that may not appreciate me ... so what ? "

:'( but also

Madman Shepherd

Really just kind of solidifies my opinion that TEI is not a great song.  I love the new album but man, that song is definitely my least favorite.

Perpetual Change

Man, that live performance... that's a LOT of guitar!

Loved how he responded to the MP question.
What was it? I missed it.

He basically just said - both Mikes bought their own thing to DT. Portnoy was a great drummer - credit where it's due - he is a great drummer.

A thing I really like about this The Enemy inside clip is that you can clearly hear JP singing the backing vocals on the chorus, he's not only lip-syncing like on LALP or the previous tour. Maybe it changes from song to song, but it's great to hear him on here.

I enjoyed the interview as well.  :tup

puppyonacid

JP @ 5:31.....oops

Only human! Then he plays the wrong chord in the chorus. You can tell it's the beginning of a tour!

I knew I heard a wrong note - and the camera was on JMX at the time and he looked like :( so i thought it might have been him.

Camera on JMX, sounds like guitar making a mistake, therefore JMX made a mistake.

I thought it was very classy to answer the question like that. It is what it is. I'm not implying or saying that I would prefer MP in the band. I like the current DT a whole lot more than the previous SC, BC and even 8V. No negativity, no cheap shots (although JLB stays away from those most of the times).

That's word for word verbatim what I said.

I'm not going to have a chance to see that live clip until later....

Is it actually live like at Luna Park or just filmed with a smartphone?

cyberdrummer

It's professionally filmed. Seems like they might have filmed the entire show, there's a snippet of The Shattered Fortress during the interview as well. In fact, I'm sure someone mentioned previously that the Milan show was being filmed...

^This.  And I must say after seeing some professionally shot footage, that stage is gorgeous.  To me, it is very much reminiscent of something Maiden would do for their set, although not quite as grand.

RaiseTheKnife

No, I'm just not won over by the stage look on this tour based on what I've seen on these videos.  Its just generic to me.  The cubist look and vertical light placement of the last tour was inventive and stylish, and reminiscent of the artful concepts that first drew me to DT in '92 (ala JP's picasso guitar).

The giant screen on this tour doesn't seem to be anything special to me.  Of course, when I see them live in March hope there is more in the theater experience that these videos fail to capture.

(JP is having an off night in this clip, but hey I enjoy those moments when DT reminds us that they are only human too)

Would love to have a wallpaper of the artwork in JP's amps.

I'm surprised to hear this.
Quote from: wkiml on June 08, 2012, 09:06:35 AMwould have thought the same thing but seeing the OP was TAC i immediately thought Maiden or DT related

If you are referring to what I said in the thread, I didn't have this in mind back then. I know for sure that Milan was taped but by audience members and audio only. I have as much information about this pro-shot video as you do. By the way, we don't know for sure if they taped the entire concert or just TEI and TSF, which were shown in the interview.
