Yes indeed. I have to agree with KNH above me in that I&W was a life changer for me. A permanent one. Awake took WAY longer to
sink in and appreciate but man oh man when it did it surpassed I&W for me. Both are among my all time favorite albums. Sometimes
everything just aligns right and magic happens. Those 2 albums are magic.

Why do you put such arbitrary line breaks in your posts? ???

"Images and Words" is one of the very few albums in existence that I can honestly say "changed the way I think about music."  And the change was substantial and permanent.   Prior to hearing "Images and Words" my opinion was that keyboards had no place in heavy music like this.  But somehow Dream Theater managed to make keyboards incredibly interesting and entertaining.  So much so that I couldn't possibly imagine Dream Theater without  keyboards.

I feel the exact same way.

Poetic license. Or possibly a gnarly muscle tic.

Strange thread IMO, as this is already by far the most appreciated DT lineup.
I must say, this was my first thought as well.

Thank you.  I thought I must have just been going crazy there for a moment.  The thread is pretty pointless and uneccesary, but carry on.
