Check this out.  This guy has been doing some work with Blaze Bayley and is releasing a solo album.  Check out a performance of Panic Attack taken from the album.

I actually saw this about a month ago, and it was so good that I figured it HAD to have been posted. This guy is incredible. The song sounds so good like this.

?

wolfking

I thought that too, I did a search but nothing, even if it had been posted, it's worthy of getting posted again.

I like that it doesn't mention anywhere that it's double tracked. :p

It's obviously great :tup but what you hear isn't all played on one guitar..

Kotowboy

I love comments like : You make me wanna give up !

Why ? :P - if anything it should inspire you to practice *even more*.

Not only that but some people can just devote 8-10 hours a day to practice - whilst some people either don't have the time

or patience to do that. It's important to continually progress as a musician and not reach a plateau.

I will NEVER be John Petrucci but i'm more than happy with where I am right now. i can get what's in my head onto the guitar so that's fine by me.

I was thinking this in the first five seconds as well but it's ONE guitar dude!  :metal

The classical approach, finger picking makes it sound like it's double tracked.

Kotowboy

there's no way this is all on one guitar as sometimes the audio and video don't match up.

Plus if you listen carefully - it's definitely not in mono. At worst he has some stereo effects going on but there are

definitely two different things going on.

It doesn't look double tracked to me. And what is the most important it's awesome :)

That was my caveat in my original post ;)

It may not look double tracked but I trust my ears. I could be wrong but i spend a lot of time recording and I'm used to how two guitars panned left and right sound in a stereo field.

it's either that or he has some delay or other stereo FX going on. That's just not one guitar in mono.
