I'm still new to DT, and I have the special edition of ADTOE but never dared to check the extra dvd because i'm scared to hear songs that i havent heard yet ... can you please name me the songs in the background+ the songs they play in the auditions from the dvd? thanks.

I would recommend simply not watching the audition DVD, you really won't be missing much.

There are snippets from so many songs there that I recommend to buy albums and listen to music if you don't want to hear them before.

To each his own, I must have watched that video 50 times already, it inspired me to play drums and introduced me to some incredible drummers. The songs which were used during the auditions and are played by every drummer are:

A Nightmare to Remember
The Dance of Eternity
The Spirit Carries On

There are short snippets of a bunch of other songs playing in the background all the time, such as Take the Time, Learning to Live, 6:00, Burning My Soul, Just Let Me Breathe, Forsaken, In the Presence of Enemies, The Count of Tuscany, The Best of Times, One Last Time, The Shattered Fortress, Hell's Kitchen, The Glass Prison, just to name a few.

There are also a couple of really cool jams and an insanely groovy odd time riff which you can't hear anywhere else, so I definitely recommend checking it out.

Please do the opposite.

After you listened to every DT album if you don't want to hear any music that you haven't heard.

theyre only like, 5-10 second snippets without vocal tracks. you wont be spoiling much tbh. Think of it like a little sneak peak of whats in store.
