I cannot unhear 'god I'm high, I'm a steak'. Ever.

I don't get it. These are the right lyrics. What's funny here?

I don't know what he's referring to, but the "ha!" reminds me of Edna Krabappel :lol

Oh my bad. I didn't realize the "HA!" was actually a part of it

On every recording of Scenes From a Memory I have noticed what sounds like a scratch in "Fatal Tragedy".

It's at around 37 seconds in to the track just after the whole band enters with the big E chord.

When I say scratch I mean it sounds like something you might hear when listening to vinyl. I don't what to make of it and I don't know how it ended up on the final release.

I have heard this too!! I'm too tired to listen to this again now but I know what you're talkin' 'bout! :)

The faint clickety pop noises? I've never noticed anything there before, but I do hear that in the left speaker. It sounds like clipping from the mastering, I think.

It sounds like a guitar but I don't know...

Not as such. I know what sort of clipping noise you're meaning and I don't hear that. It's one, very audible "scratch". To me that's exactly what it sounds like. A scratch on vinyl.

The worst ones for me have got to be:

-Chirping guitar noises in IT. Worst part is, someone mentioned it in a comment on the stream of the album when I was listening to it first, so I'll never get to hear IT without hearing the godawful chirps

-All the misheard lyrics in Voices.  Doesn't help my that my girlfriend laughs at them every time I listen to the song.

-God I'm high, I'm a steak.

Not sure how you could miss those.

While I'll never know, I'm pretty sure I'd be able to subconsciously skip over it for a while before noticing.

I'm currently listening to "Breaking All Illusions", the line when he says "Changing my direction".
I can clearly hear "Changing my erection".

At risk of sounding like a pedant, does that really qualify? That particular snippet doesn't need pointing out to be heard.

At 2:29 in Fatal Tragedy, idk if it's intentional but there's an extra bass drum hit in one of the pauses between the triplets of the riff.

Nice find! From the sound and timing of it, I'd say it's wasn't intentional. Then again, knowing how perfectionist MP is (he wanted to re-record his first fills in the Budokan version of As I Am because he messed up their order), there's no way he'd leave a mistake in.

Where are these chirps you speak of?

I can't be the only one hearing this, in "About to Crash" there is a faint digital "beep-beep" noise right after James sings "this she knows is true" at around 1:10. I noticed it ages ago and it's bugged me ever since.

I believe that's the guitar string squeak, and yeah I hear it every time.

This probably belongs more to the "misheard lyrics" thread, but funny nevertheless.

It bothers me because it sounds just like the message notification sound in Roller Coaster Tycoon.

Yea but why would anyone need it pointed out to hear? I knew it was there. Everyone who's heard that version knows it's there. It's not like the "doopy doopy dos" at the beginning of OTBOA which frankly, I really could have done without knowing about!
