This is obviously exciting stuff and is bound to provoke a lot of discussion. However, there are those among the community that would like to listen to a CD quality version of the album and for that reason I am creating this thread. I would ask the DTF community to obey the following guidelines up until official release of the album:

1. ALL discussion of the album that constitutes a spoiler shall only take place within this thread such that those who wish to remain unspoilt may do so up until the official release date.
2. Normal rules regarding posting of leaked material still apply after the stream has ended. As such, posting links to material that contains material unreleased by official channels after conclusion of the stream is forbidden. This includes stream rips, youtube videos and anything else. DO NOT POST THEM. Report those that do.

Thanks all.

We've still got another 2 hours 37 minutes, it's 12:23 London time right now, I believe.

Thanks dude!

Anyone else with tiny listening parties

That would be the shit, but I might be listening alone. My roommate is a DT fan but he said he might just wait until the release date. He obviously has more restraint than I do. :lol

Well, I'm a one-man party, and I'm proud of it!  :metal

Actually, this made me re-think things. It's a DTF party. We might be separated by space, but we're not by time. The answers to the cosmos lie through the wormhole!

I'll be listening later tonight if the stream will (hopefully) still be available. This is the first time that my friend and I can actually listen to a new DT album together :)

I bet both DTF and progrockmag.com will be down within ten minutes after the stream has started. DTF will for sure :-\

It's going to be up for a week on ProgRockMag.com.

Ah, I just saw that! Excellent (although that seems rather long in terms of maximizing first week sales).

It's what most bands do nowadays, but if you ask me, if you're going to stream it a week early, just release it on that day...

I think the whole point is as a response to the L word (no, not that L word), and also as promotion for early sales. Releasing it a week early doesn't really help with those. I guess it wouldn't be a problem if albums were only digital, but once you're sending out physical copies, it's harder to keep a lid on it getting out.

?

Full album streams are only for the weak and I'm gonna stay strong :loser:

Seriously though, it's great that I'll only have to avoid this thread until I have the CD in my hands :tup

Super Dude

Is the "US stream" located at a separate link, or can we assume it'll pop up in the same place at 10 AM?

I was assuming it will pop up in the same place as the link in the OP at 10AM EST.... Not sure if thats correct, but that was my assumption.

DT's Facebook post said to tune into their page at 10:00 AM EST...I'm assuming the link will be there

I'm still having a war inside my head for if i should listen to it.. It's only a week before I'll get my LP... but I'm so weak  :'(

aprilethereal

Ah, good to know, if the link in the OP doesn't work I'll check DT's Facebook! Thanks!

Why suffer yourselves? Just listen to the stream and then listen to it again when your CD arrives :)

That's my plan. I'll listen to it once today, and then probably won't again until I have the CD.

Whatsername

I'm waiting until almost 12pm EST so my best friend can get home from class. We're gonna listen to it and freak out over Facebook with each other. :lol Same thing we did with TEI and AFTR.

chknptpie

Is this something I can listen to later in the day, or is it necessary to be on my computer in 32 minutes?

Edit: well from the post above, it seems like it will be available for more than the initial run through. cool

lyfeternl

There's no award being handed out if you wait until the release to hear the album. I, for one, embrace the full-album streaming and will listen to it all day at least
